Tour Costa Rica With Rental Car

Day 01: San José

Arrival at Juan Santamaría International Airport. A representative will meet you at the airport in order to transfer you to the Hotel.
San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica, is a vibrant city located in the heart of the country, surrounded by spectacular mountainous landscapes. With a rich cultural heritage and colonial architecture, the city offers a fascinating blend of tradition and modernity. Visitors can explore museums, art galleries, and savor delicious Costa Rican cuisine. San Jose also serves as a starting point for various adventures, such as exploring nearby volcanoes and the lush rainforest. It is the cultural and economic center of the country, providing travelers with a unique experience of Costa Rica's culture and history.

Day 02: San José / Tortuguero National Park

We begin our trip early in the morning between 6:00 am from San Jose. You will be traveling with a bilingual naturalist guide on an air conditioned bus. Drive through Braulio Carrillo National Park, where you have the opportunity to see beautiful views and abundant vegetation. On the way we will stop for breakfast at Selva Tropical Restaurant where you can enjoy a butterfly garden with a variety of tropical flowers. After breakfast we will continue our trip to Caño Blanco deck driving by banana plantations. At Caño Blanco, you will board the covered boat to the lodge, passing the Tortuguero canals arriving between 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. In the afternoon you will visit to the Turtle Museum of the C.C.C. (Caribbean Conservation Corporation) and to the colorful Tortuguero town. You will return to the lodge around 5:30 p.m. Free time to enjoy the pool, the bar service and prepare for your dinner. Dinner service from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and then rest of the night free to enjoy the surroundings, pool and bar. Overnight at Hotel. (Meals: B, L, D)

Day 03: Tortuguero National Park

6:15 am tour to admire the awakening of the wildlife of Tortuguero. Return for breakfast (service between 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.). Free time to enjoy the pool, the bar service and prepare for your dinner. Dinner service from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and then rest of the night free to enjoy the surroundings, pool and bar. (Meals: B, L, D)

Day 04: Tortuguero National Park / Arenal Volcano

Pick up the car. Continue to the northern lowlands of Arenal Volcano and La Fortuna town. Relax in the best hot springs of the área. (Meals: B)

Day 05: Arenal Volcano

Free day to relax or enjoy additional activities in the area. (Meals: B)

Day 06: Arenal Volcano / Monteverde

Transfer to Monteverde. Monteverde is one of the most-unique villages in all of Costa Rica. It has a small-town, rural, country feel with a lot of cowboys walking around downtown Santa Elena, the main eco-touristic hot spot. (Meals: B)

Day 07: Monteverde

Free day to relax or enjoy additional activities in the area. (Meals: B)

Day 08: Monteverde / Manuel Antonio National Park

Transfer to Manuel Antonio. Free Afternoon. (Meals: B)
Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio, is a stunning tropical paradise known for its unique natural beauty and incredible biodiversity. The park features lush rainforests, white sandy beaches, and colorful coral reefs, all surrounded by the crystal-clear waters of the Pacific Ocean. Visitors can explore winding trails through dense forests and observe wildlife such as sloths, monkeys, and toucans. The park's pristine beaches offer opportunities for relaxation, swimming in warm waters, and snorkeling among vibrant marine life. It's important to follow park regulations and respect the local flora and fauna. For nature enthusiasts, Manuel Antonio National Park is a truly magical destination, showcasing scenic beauty, wildlife, and breathtaking beaches.

Day 09- 10: Manuel Antonio National Park

Free day to relax or enjoy additional activities in the area. (Meals: B)

Day 11: San José

Transfer to Juan Santamaria International Airport. (Meals: B)

Hi Anna, thank you for the update on the glasses. I’ll wait and see what happens! Alan and I are now back in the UK. We loved our trip to the Pantanal and Bonito. Our guide, Alessandra was brilliant with lots of knowledge and very considerate and helpful. The only hitch we had was on our flight back to Rio because the second leg of the trip was cancelled and we were rescheduled to a later plane and our luggage was mislaid. Fortunately it arrived in Rio a day later, before we flew home. Thank you for arranging the trip.
