Day 1: Arrival in Buenos Aires, Check-in at Alvear Palace

Your Argentina and Chile luxury tour begins with a private welcome at the airport and a transfer to the legendary Alvear Palace Buenos Aires luxury stay, which has been a symbol of old Argentine aristocracy for over a century.
The rest of the day is free for exploring Buenos Aires. This is a complex, energetic, and seductive port city, with remarkable art, charming neighborhoods, outstanding food, and a passionate people who love to celebrate well into the night.
The evening comes alive in San Telmo with tango, in Palermo with steakhouses and long tables, and along the Recoleta with its marble mausoleums and old plane trees. Day 2: Buenos Aires, City Tour and Evening Tango Show

After breakfast: a private city tour of Buenos Aires with a guide (4 hours). You pass through the old neighborhood of La Boca with its brightly painted facades and street musicians, San Telmo with its old bars and restaurants, and Plaza Dorrego with its real antique market.
At the heart of the city: Plaza de Mayo, where the Casa Rosada (the presidential palace) and the Cathedral stand. Then the obelisk on Avenida 9 de Julio, a walk through the famous Recoleta Cemetery, the parks and nightlife of Palermo, the modern neighborhoods, and the commercial center. The tour ends at a famous football stadium.
In the evening: a tango show. The lights go down, the orchestra plays the first sharp chords of the bandoneon, and heels mark the rhythm on the wooden stage. Tango is one of the most expressive dances in the world. Between the dances, Argentine wine, grilled meat, and mate are served.

Day 3: Flight to El Calafate, Gateway to Argentine Patagonia

In the morning: a flight from Buenos Aires to El Calafate, the starting point for your luxury Patagonia tour and your introduction to the southern Argentine Andes. On arrival: private transfer and check-in at Hotel Xelena El Calafate on the shore of Lake Argentino. This is the base for routes to the glaciers of Los Glaciares National Park.
El Calafate is a small Patagonian town on the shores of lakes Viedma and Argentino. It is nothing like a busy tourist resort. The town stretches along a cold lake, the wind moves constantly over the water, and in the evenings the streets fill with the light of small wine bars, grills, and cafes. The road passes through Los Glaciares National Park, where the ice fields cover almost half of the territory. Cold air, the dark water of Lake Argentino, wind from the Andes, and glaciers stretching to the horizon.
Perito Moreno is one of the very few glaciers in the world that is still advancing. Its ice wall rises almost 60 meters above the water. The ice is always moving: blocks regularly break from the wall. First you hear a deep crack, then enormous chunks of ice crash into the lake and slowly drift away along the channel.
As it advances, Perito Moreno almost touches the Magallanes Peninsula. Sometimes the glacier blocks part of Lake Argentino, and a huge arch slowly forms inside the ice wall before collapsing under the pressure of the water. A breathtaking sight.

Day 5: Transfer to Puerto Natales, Chile, Road Across the Andes

A new stage of the high-end Argentina and Chile travel package: after breakfast you drive from El Calafate to Puerto Natales. The private transfer takes about four hours through open Patagonian steppes, low hills, and stretches at the foot of the Andes. Almost no trees: just yellow grass, wind, occasional farms, and long straight roads running to the horizon. Guanacos, foxes, hares, and llama herds against snowy peaks are common sights along the way.
Puerto Natales is a small port town on the shore of the Ultima Esperanza fjord, and the gateway to Chilean Patagonia and Torres del Paine National Park, an essential destination for anyone on a luxury Patagonia holiday 2026.
The town looks calm and a little rugged: low houses, wooden facades, fishing piers, old warehouses, and a long promenade along the strait. Day 6: Puerto Natales, Torres del Paine National Park

Its granite towers rise almost 2,000 meters above the steppe, and between them lie glacial lakes, fast rivers, and stretches of forest that constantly change color in the Patagonian wind and light. And of course: a large, shining blue glacier.
The park is home to rheas, Andean condors, flamingos, and many other birds. But the star of the park is the guanaco, grazing on the open steppes where pumas cannot approach unseen.
During the excursion you also descend into the Mylodon Cave, another highlight of luxury Patagonia holiday 2026: the remains of Ice Age animals were found here. On the way back, a walk along the Serrano River and the shores of Lakes Toro and Porteno. Night at the lodge.

Day 7: Transfer to Punta Arenas, Gateway to the Strait of Magellan

After breakfast: a drive to Punta Arenas, the southernmost major city in Chilean Patagonia, on the shore of the Strait of Magellan. The journey takes about three hours: the steppe gradually becomes drier, the wind stronger, and the landscape takes on an almost Arctic feeling. This is an essential part of any 5-star Patagonia itinerary: glaciers, mountains, fjords, and a rugged coastline at the edge of the continent.
Punta Arenas was for a long time the main port of the region and the base for Antarctic expeditions. Today people come here for boat crossings through the strait and to see the penguin colonies. The Magellanic penguins of Punta Arenas return to Isla Magdalena and Isla Marta every spring.
On arrival: check-in at Hotel Dreams del Estrecho in Punta Arenas, with views over the strait and the southern coast of Chile.

Day 8: Punta Arenas, Navigation to Isla Magdalena and Flight to Santiago

After breakfast: the Magdalena island penguins private tour, one of the most memorable days of the entire route through southern Chile. The boat crosses the cold waters of the Strait of Magellan, where the wind, light, and color of the water change almost constantly.
Isla Magdalena is home to the largest colony of Magellanic penguins in the region. The narrow trails run directly through the nesting grounds, so you can watch the birds from very close: adult penguins move slowly between the rocks while chicks hide in burrows among the dry grass.
Nearby is the rocky Isla Marta, where sea lions rest on the stone ledges. They can be observed from the boat, without disturbing the colony. This kind of exclusive navigation to Magdalena island is exactly what makes a luxury Patagonia tour so memorable: an extraordinary closeness to nature.

Day 9: Santiago de Chile, City Tour and Optional Maipo Valley Wine Tour

After breakfast: a city tour of Santiago with a English-speaking guide. The route passes along Alameda Avenue, through the historic center and modern neighborhoods. You see the La Moneda palace, the Chilean government house, a walk around Plaza de Armas, and a climb to Santa Lucia Hill with views over the center and the snowy Andes on a clear day.
In the afternoon: the Providencia neighborhood and the modern business districts, with restaurants, wine bars, and glass office towers.
Optional: the premium wine tour Maipo valley, the main wine region near Santiago. Long rows of vines, dry air, dusty roads between estates, and snowy peaks on the horizon. During the day the sun is strong here, and in the evening cool air comes down from the Andes, giving the grapes time to slowly build their acidity and aroma.

Day 10: Santiago Airport Transfer and Departure Home

Para una persona viajando solo eso trae tranquilidad. Los lugares que he visidado eran todos muy impresionantes. Con Cusco y los tours correspondientes los mas destacados. Me quede muy impresionado de la cultura Inca y la visita al Machu Picchu era una experiencia espiritual elevadora. El viaje de Arequipa a Nasca de 10 horas por bus era agotador. Llegue dormido a Nasca y me tuvieron que departar. Comprendo que para poder ver a el condor y también volar sobra el desierto de Nasca este viaje fue la mejor opción.
Los hoteles fueron perfectos. Mi favorita fue lq Britania Crystal Miraflores. Yo le daría 4.5 *. Yo recomendaria este tour a qualquiera que quira hacer el tour como yo lo hice. Espero que con las conecciones aerias directas proramadas entre Curacao i Lima ( comensando el fin de año) y con el nuevo aeropuerto international en Cusco en algunos años el turismo desde Curacao sea mas grande.

Good afternoon, we were in Rio de Janeiro March 15–17, 2020. Not for long, but it was very full of experiences.
The driver who met us at the airport, to our joy, spoke English and even a little Russian. He pointed out where we could walk and eat.
The next day we met Eleonora, a GUIDE and a Person with a capital P. We were lucky to visit Corcovado and see Brazil’s main symbol. Unfortunately, we couldn’t make it to Sugarloaf Mountain due to the coronavirus quarantine.
Instead of the canceled excursion, Eleonora gave us an impromptu city tour. She tells stories in an interesting way, knows a lot, but doesn’t overwhelm with facts, shows where the best photo spots are, and even took pictures herself. Thanks to her, we managed to get coffee and souvenirs—it turned out not so easy to find what we wanted.
She was very caring and concerned for us—even after we went to Búzios, she kept checking how we were, suggesting where to go and what to see and buy.
