The tour route is planned by days

Tour route
Day 1: Arrival in Rio de Janeiro. First evening by the ocean
At Rio airport, you'll be greeted and driven to your hotel. Your New Year's holiday in Rio de Janeiro begins even before you check in: from the car, you glimpse green hillsides tucked between buildings, stretches of ocean, old facades standing beside high-rises. The festive preparations have already spilled out onto the streets – at Copacabana, stages are being built, and more and more people dressed in white appear all around. New Year's Eve in Brazil means open-air music, a sea of white-clad figures surrounding you, fireworks reflecting off the Atlantic, and cool sand underfoot. And very soon, you'll witness it all for yourself!

After settling in, you can head down to the sea and stroll along part of the Copacabana promenade with its iconic black-and-white wave pattern. The beaches of Rio de Janeiro – Copacabana and neighbouring Ipanema – are the main stage for the celebrations. Ahead lie Rio de Janeiro tours and the city's most iconic landmarks: Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, the historic centre and centuries-old churches. But for today, the warm air, the sound of the waves, your first evening by the Atlantic, and a refreshing caipirinha are more than enough.
Day 1: Arrival in Rio de Janeiro. First evening by the ocean -0
Day 2: Corcovado & Christ the Redeemer. New Year's Eve on Copacabana
The excursion to Mount Corcovado and the Christ the Redeemer statue is a four-hour adventure that begins with a funicular ride up through the Tijuca rainforest. You never know what you’ll spot in the Tijuca Forest – monkeys and toucans, armadillos and coatis, opossums and anteaters! As the little train rounds bends in the trees, houses and the ocean flash into view for a few seconds, only for the dense green wall to close in again. And then, you’re at the very top! From the viewing platform, you can see Guanabara Bay, Maracanã Stadium, Sugarloaf Mountain, the beaches, and Gávea Rock. From this height, it’s strikingly clear just how tightly Rio is squeezed between mountains and water: the neighbourhoods occupy every available strip of land. For some, it’s a panoramic viewpoint – the Rio panorama from Corcovado. For others, it’s a place where the city’s clamour finally yields to silence and a personal prayer.

You’ll have time to rest and dress for welcoming New Year's Eve in Rio 2027. By evening, Copacabana transforms beyond recognition. White stops being a mere detail – it floods the pavements, the hotel entrances, the approaches to the beach. People dressed in white gather on the sand, the stage crew checks the sound, flowers and small offerings are carried down to the water. This is how New Year’s Eve on Copacabana begins – with music, heat, and a simmering anticipation. For many, celebrating New Year abroad is linked above all with this very shore: fireworks rise above the Atlantic, their light shattering on the waves, and the crowd lingers long into the night. New Year in Rio is intimately connected with the figure of the goddess Yemanjá: offerings are lowered into the ocean for her, asking for protection and good luck.

*If you’d prefer a more exclusive celebration, we can arrange a gala dinner or party ticket at one of Copacabana’s hotels. Please enquire for pricing.
Day 2: Corcovado & Christ the Redeemer. New Year's Eve on Copacabana -1
Day 3: Sugarloaf Mountain & the Historic Centre of Rio
After breakfast, your excursion to Rio's Sugarloaf Mountain begins – a four-hour journey ascending above the bay. The Pão de Açúcar cable car first whisks you up to Urca Hill. Urca is both a viewpoint and the first stop: below lie Red Beach and Botafogo, with Guanabara Bay stretching out beyond. It's the perfect spot for a cocktail or a light bite.

From the summit of Sugarloaf, Copacabana unfurls along the shore as a pale ribbon. Behind it rise the Two Brothers and Gávea; to the right, the city centre and the bay recede into the distance. On the opposite slope, Christ the Redeemer stands clearly visible. From above, you can see how the neighbourhoods claim every level strip of land between the water and the granite hills.

After the descent, we set off to explore Rio de Janeiro's old town on foot, wandering across stone pavements and admiring the brightly coloured facades, historic buildings, and colonial churches of Rio. Among them is Candelária, a Rio church that has preserved the features of Portuguese colonial architecture. After the open, sun-drenched streets of Ipanema, the historic centre feels more sober. Here, the city reveals itself not as a postcard, but as a place where the life of the Portuguese Empire simmered for centuries, its streets once teeming with merchants and townsfolk.
Day 3: Sugarloaf Mountain & the Historic Centre of Rio -2
Day 4: Day at Leisure. Beach Time or Optional Excursions
After breakfast, you have a free day to explore the city on your own, relax on the beach, or take part in optional excursions.
Day 4: Day at Leisure. Beach Time or Optional Excursions -3
Tropical Islands Excursion (group, with English-speaking guide)
Early in the morning, you set off. The road winds west along the Costa Verde, running between the Atlantic, the forested slopes of the Serra do Mar, and deep coastal bays. You’ll reach Angra dos Reis in around three hours.

The urban road gives way to the jetty. The tropical islands of Angra dos Reis are best appreciated from the water: the shoreline reveals itself differently with every turn. The boat slips between green islands, alternating wide stretches of the bay with narrow passages skimming the coast. Along the way, the islands hide one another, then part, revealing new coves and short ribbons of sand. At times, dolphins, turtles, or stingrays appear close by; in the canopy you can make out parrots, and beneath the surface, large fish glide. Each anchorage has its own character: somewhere you’ll want to dive straight in, elsewhere you’ll linger at the side of the boat, taking in the bay.

At the anchorages, the engine falls silent, and you can hear the water lapping against the hull. On one of the islands, a buffet lunch will be served. Afterwards, there’s time for a stroll, a swim, or relaxing by the pool.

The excursion is group-based, with an English-speaking guide. Duration: 8 hours. Cost: USD 100 per person.
Tropical Islands Excursion (group, with English-speaking guide) -4
Helicopter Flight Over Rio
A helicopter flight over Rio reveals the city from a perspective that neither Corcovado nor Sugarloaf can offer. Once airborne, the coastline resolves into a single sweeping picture: beaches, green hills, the Botanical Garden, and the white figure of Christ above the neighbourhoods. Rio’s geography becomes tangible, more vivid than ever. You’ll be able to compare views from the windows on both sides of the cabin. At some point, your gaze stops fixating on individual buildings – only the ocean, the rocks, and the city between them remain. Euphoria makes you lose track of time: minutes fly by almost in an instant. Yet sometimes, a short flight is all it takes to imprint the city and the sensation of soaring above it in your memory.
Duration: 6–13 minutes. Price upon request.
Helicopter Flight Over Rio -5
Botanical Garden
Rio de Janeiro’s Botanical Garden was established in 1808 not as a pleasure park but as an acclimatisation site for imported plants, particularly precious spices such as cinnamon, pepper, and vanilla.
Today, at the foot of the forested slopes of Corcovado, pathways lead between avenues where light falls in bands upon stone and leaves. The garden’s defining axis is its row of imperial palms; the first such palm was planted here in 1809. Nearby grows pau-brasil, the tree that gave the country its name. In the ponds, the giant leaves of Victoria amazonica water lilies unfurl, while the greenhouses harbour collections of orchids. The garden retains its neoclassical layout, so the stroll continually shifts in perspective: rigid axes give way to dense tropical foliage. Here, plants are not a botanical catalogue but a living history of the nation.
Private excursion, minimum 2 people – USD 150 per person.

Favela Tour in Rio
The word favela is said to trace back to soldiers returning from the War of Canudos: the settlement on Morro da Providência reminded them of a hill covered with the faveleira plant.

The Rio favela tour explores Rocinha, a district that has climbed a steep hillside in a web of streets, staircases, and narrow passageways. Here, the vertical geography of Rio becomes strikingly visible. Around bends, you encounter workshops, small shops, schools, and residential terraces; above the rooftops, a strip of ocean sometimes appears. In 2022, Rocinha was the most populous favela in the country. The daily life of Rio’s cariocas in the favelas reveals itself unfiltered: neighbours call out to each other from their balconies, discuss the day’s news on the steps, and share the street with music, children, and the buzz of motorbikes.

The tour is conducted by jeep and concludes with a return to your hotel. Group excursion with an English-speaking guide: USD 60 per person. Private tour (minimum 2 people): USD 120 per person.

Buenas noches Viera.

Pavel, good afternoon!
My name is Marina Ryzhuk. A few weeks ago, our VIP group from St. Petersburg visited Rio with you. I believe you remember them well.
I’d like to thank you for your excellent work with our rather demanding guests. After the trip, they spoke very highly of your services. Our particularly important gentlemen especially appreciated your personal approach — you managed to find a special way to connect with them.
Through your tours, they were able to truly feel the city, which is absolutely priceless on such trips.
Thank you!

They said everything was as precise as with the Germans :)
REVIEW №12- Mikhail and Elena Leksikov
Good afternoon, we were in Rio de Janeiro March 15–17, 2020. Not for long, but it was very full of experiences.
The driver who met us at the airport, to our joy, spoke English and even a little Russian. He pointed out where we could walk and eat.
The next day we met Eleonora, a GUIDE and a Person with a capital P. We were lucky to visit Corcovado and see Brazil’s main symbol. Unfortunately, we couldn’t make it to Sugarloaf Mountain due to the coronavirus quarantine.
Instead of the canceled excursion, Eleonora gave us an impromptu city tour. She tells stories in an interesting way, knows a lot, but doesn’t overwhelm with facts, shows where the best photo spots are, and even took pictures herself. Thanks to her, we managed to get coffee and souvenirs—it turned out not so easy to find what we wanted.
She was very caring and concerned for us—even after we went to Búzios, she kept checking how we were, suggesting where to go and what to see and buy.

A very close-knit, friendly team, always ready to help.
REVIEW №13- Nikita, Saga Tour Operator
Good afternoon, Alexandra!
Thank you very much for the organization and support.
The tourist was very happy and said everything was top-notch :)
Paraty is definitely a place to recommend—it leaves no one indifferent. Porto Real is probably in the best spot on that coast.

Thank you!
Wishing you success in everything!

Alexandra!
Our clients have returned, very satisfied.
They left a special review about the guide in Quito:
In Quito, we had a wonderful guide named David.
During our three-day visit to Quito, your guide David was with us. He made our stay in Quito rich, interesting, and unforgettable. Not only does he know a lot about the city, the country, and its nature, he is also a truly interesting person himself. Our three days were filled with conversations about everything. Our knowledge of Ecuador is now practically encyclopedic—we learned so much. And the most important part was that it all happened through engaging discussions.
We’d like to highlight his punctuality, his thoughtfulness, and his attention to detail. His advice on restaurants and places to walk during our free time was invaluable. We’ve met many guides—this is the 103rd country we’ve visited. We don’t always get so lucky with a guide, but David was exceptional. Thank you to him and to all of you!!!

THANK YOU FOR THE EXCELLENT ORGANIZATION.

We came back very happy – the hotels were good, transfers and assistance were of the highest level, everything precise and on time. Thank you!

Dear colleagues, good afternoon!
I want to thank you for handling our group – a large and challenging one, with a very intense program – which you managed to organize and host at the highest level. Tremendous work – thank you so much, ladies!
Months of preparation, countless changes and additions – I know what it all cost us – but everything turned out perfectly. Thank you for your attention and patience.
For many tourists in the group – despite the number of countries they’ve already visited, practically the whole world – this trip became the best of them all!
That says a lot, and it was so nice to hear. I want to share this gratitude and pride in a job so well done with you!!!!

A poem dedicated to the Ada Tours guide!
In Rio, where sunlight meets golden skies,
Our guide Paulo greets us with kind, warm eyes.
He knows the whole city, where secrets lie deep,
And welcomes each guest with joy that’s sincere.
“Come on,” he says, “to Corcovado,
Christ calls you up to heaven’s shadow.
Then on to the beach, where waves beat the shore,
Copacabana invites us once more.”

Paulo will show us where samba resides,
Where Brazil’s true heartbeat endlessly thrives.
In favelas he sees not poverty, but life,
Where sparks of hope conquer struggle and strife.

With a smile, he leads us along every way,
Paulo’s our friend, our golden pathway.
A Brazilian guide, a master of wonder,
With him, Rio feels closer to heaven’s splendor.

This poem is from me, for you.

Good afternoon, Alexandra.
I want to thank you for organizing our vacation.
Our guides were simply outstanding – top class.
Pavel knows so much about Brazil and Rio in particular. He’s very easy to talk to, communicates effortlessly with people, is always learning something new, and gladly shares his knowledge. An excellent guide and a wonderful person.
And Tiago – we spent two days with him. He’s amazing. Even after 18 years of work, he hasn’t lost the ability to genuinely admire the beauty of the waterfalls. He still takes photos like it’s the first time.
With your guides, it’s never boring! Thank you once again!!!
REVIEW №35- Tatyana Yakubova
Hello, Alexandra.
I am sending you the full version of the tourists’ feedback:
We are publishing our review after our trip through Argentina–Uruguay–Brazil with my wife. It is always a pleasure to share emotions when they are entirely positive! We want to thank the entire Ada Tours team who helped us organize the perfect journey. From the very idea of the trip to its completion, you were always in touch with us, tailoring excursions and building the itinerary based on our requests, while also giving valuable advice and making all necessary adjustments. Everything exceeded our already high expectations – the trip was very rich and exciting! We recommend this route to everyone, especially when its organization can be entrusted to professionals☺️
We would especially like to thank you for selecting wonderful guides and drivers. At every stage, everything went like clockwork – we never missed a single thing, and the drivers were always extremely polite and pleasant.
Our journey began in Buenos Aires with a city tour. We visited the main square – Plaza de Mayo, cathedrals, and saw key architectural monuments from the Spanish colonial period, as well as the modern financial center. We explored the vibrant and colorful La Boca district and the main city ports. We were lucky with the weather, and the tour was fascinating. The guide advised us to visit several additional places, and we chose the Recoleta Cemetery, where many of Argentina’s most famous figures are buried. After the tour, we asked to be dropped off near the entrance and bought tickets. The only issue we faced was that we couldn’t pay in cash, but other visitors kindly helped us with the payment. The cemetery left a strong impression on us – we would definitely recommend it as a must-visit.
In the evening, we went to a tango show that exceeded all expectations. We watched authentic Argentine tango performed to live music, enjoyed Argentine wine, and saw other artists showcasing traditional instruments. The show was incredible and allowed us to truly experience the local culture.
The next morning we traveled by ferry to Montevideo. The journey was very comfortable; we would only recommend bringing snacks and an extra layer of clothing, as despite the heat, the ferry was air-conditioned and quite cool inside. We loved the city itself – we managed to see all the main sights and stroll along the coast. Midway through the tour, a wonderful lunch was arranged for us, followed by a light meal at the hotel.
After Montevideo, we continued as planned to Patagonia, where we spent just under three days. This place amazed us – it’s like nowhere else on Earth. From our hotel, we could see the vast Lake Argentino with its turquoise waters (sometimes flamingos can be seen there, though unfortunately we didn’t). The scenery of the Patagonian steppe and mountains will remain in our hearts for a long time. We took an excursion to the Perito Moreno Glacier – a unique wonder, truly beyond words. Probably the most powerful impression of the whole trip came from this glacier and the national park. It’s something everyone should witness with their own eyes.
After our mini-journey in Patagonia, we went on to Iguassu Falls, viewing them from both the Argentine and Brazilian sides. The sight was utterly unique and magical! Jungle, soaring eagles, butterflies, monkeys, and an endless chain of waterfalls stretching beyond sight. The park’s trails are very well maintained, with rest areas to escape the heat and humidity, and facilities everywhere.
The final stop of our trip was Brazil’s tourist capital – Rio de Janeiro. We visited the Christ the Redeemer statue, with its breathtaking views of the city, then spent time on Copacabana Beach, enjoying the Atlantic Ocean.
Overall, our journey was amazing and very full! And most importantly – as comfortable as possible, considering how vast the geography of our route was. Thank you!
Once again, thank you!

Sincerely,
General Director
