Your 11-Day Luxury Brazil Itinerary (Day-by-Day)

Itinerary
Day 1: Rio de Janeiro – Arrival and First Impressions
The plane descends over the Atlantic and Rio opens up — a strip of beaches between granite hills and blue ocean. At the airport, your guide meets you* - and your Rio de Janeiro private tour begins. On the way to the hotel, the city appears like a film: flashes of ocean between buildings, palm trees, tunnels through the rock. Your guide introduces the city's neighborhoods, helps you with currency exchange, and gets you settled. After check-in, the first free hours are yours. You can walk to Copacabana beach - the famous wave-patterned mosaic under your feet and a long line of surf ahead. Or head to Ipanema beach with a cold coconut water and live music in the background. This luxury Rio de Janeiro travel experience sets the tone for the whole journey: relaxed, thoughtful, and beautiful.

Evening recommendation: dinner at Cipriani Rio de Janeiro (1 Michelin star), located in your Belmond Copacabana Palace hotel. Quiet light, salt air, and the first real taste of Brazil.

*Or use the Fast Track Gold airport service.
Day 1: Rio de Janeiro – Arrival and First Impressions -0
Day 2: Rio de Janeiro – Sugarloaf Mountain (VIP Access)
After breakfast, today is about VIP access Sugarloaf - a 4-hour excursion with your guide. The Sugarloaf Mountain cable car first lifts you to the Urca Hill viewpoint. Below: yachts and boats in Guanabara Bay, Copacabana beach stretching to the right, and the dense Tijuca forest behind. There is a bar and restaurant here if you want to stop and take in the view.A second cable car takes you to the top of Sugarloaf itself at 396 meters. From here Rio reveals itself completely: the arcs of Copacabana and Ipanema, islands in the ocean, the Niteroi bridge, and the Christ the Redeemer statue on Corcovado. After Sugarloaf, the tour continues to the historic center - old churches, monasteries, the Cathedral, and colonial facades. Your guide takes you to lunch where you try your first local dishes. Included: VIP access to Sugarloaf Mountain.Lunch recommendation: Fogo de Chão restaurant - meat on long skewers with views of the rocks.

Evening: Al Mare restaurant at Fasano Rio de Janeiro on Copacabana - seafood with the sound of the ocean.

Day 3: Rio de Janeiro – Christ the Redeemer & Corcovado
After breakfast, you head to Corcovado - the symbol of Rio. The eco-friendly Corcovado train climbs the winding hillside through the Tijuca Forest: damp air, thick vines, bright birds, monkeys, and armadillos visible through the windows. The climb takes about 20 minutes, and at 700 meters the platform opens up at the foot of the statue. This is the Christ the Redeemer tour: the statue's outstretched arms seem to hold the ocean, the mountains, and the city all in one frame - a symbol of openness and light. From this height you see the whole city: Guanabara Bay, the Maracanã stadium, Sugarloaf, the endless beaches, and the ocean to the horizon. After coming down, coffee and Brazilian desserts at the historic Confeitaria Colombo.

Evening recommendation: Marius Degustare restaurant — fresh seafood in an interior designed like a sunken ship.
Day 3: Rio de Janeiro – Christ the Redeemer & Corcovado -2

Samba show Rio & capoeira show (4 hours, private, English-speaking guide)
Your guide takes you to an evening show where professional dancers in feathers and sequined costumes take the stage. Samba is all fast footwork, hip movement, and precise rhythm. Capoeira is a circle, kicks, acrobatics, and a martial art turned into a performance. The energy in the room is contagious. Dinner with traditional Brazilian food is available during the show. Your guide takes you back to your hotel afterwards.
Samba show Rio & capoeira show (4 hours, private, English-speaking guide) -4
Helicopter flight over Rio (10–30 minutes)
The helipad is at the foot of Sugarloaf. A short briefing, then the city drops away below you. Copacabana beach and Ipanema beach stretch out in one long arc. The Botanical Garden Rio de Janeiro appears as a dense green island in the middle of the city. The Rodrigo de Freitas lagoon glimmers below. Then the Christ the Redeemer tour statue appears on the ridge of Corcovado - closer than you expect from above. The helicopter flies along the coastline and between the rocks at low altitude: waves, rooftops, yachts in the bay. This is luxury Rio de Janeiro travel from the air.
Helicopter flight over Rio (10–30 minutes) -5
Caipirinha masterclass (optional)
The class takes place on the rooftop of a beachfront hotel with views over the ocean and the line of lights along the beach. An Atlantic breeze, a bar counter, ice in the shaker - and you learn to make Brazil's most famous drink. Your instructor shows you different types of cachaça: aged amber with soft woody notes, and clear white with a sharper taste. You build the flavor step by step: sugar, ice, the right measure of spirit. Then you taste it - sharp and sweet, with a cold finish. This is the Caipirinha masterclass - a skill you can bring home.
Caipirinha masterclass (optional) -6
Brazilian churrasco masterclass (optional)
The class is held at one of the city's best restaurants, at an open fire where meat is cooked on long metal skewers. You prepare different cuts of meat alongside cheese, garlic bread, corn, and chicken hearts. The highlight: pineapple with cinnamon, caramelizing over the flame. You cook it yourself and eat it straight off the skewer. This is the Brazilian churrasco masterclass - and the result is delicious.
Brazilian churrasco masterclass (optional) -7
Botanical Garden Rio de Janeiro (4 hours, private, from 2 people)
Rio's Botanical Garden covers 137 hectares at the foot of Corcovado Mountain. Founded by King João VI in 1808, it is now home to more than 7,000 plant species. The tour begins on the Royal Palm Avenue: 134 trunks forming a 750-meter alley. Beyond that: orchids under glass, bromeliads with vivid red cups, bamboo as tall as a house, and a pond with giant Amazon water lilies. Toucans fly overhead and monkeys appear on the branches. This is Botanical Garden Rio de Janeiro at its most peaceful.
Botanical Garden Rio de Janeiro (4 hours, private, from 2 people) -8
Rock climbing to Sugarloaf* (optional)
For those who want to reach the viewpoint under their own power. The trail starts from Urca Hill, through dense green, over stones and roots, with the sounds of the tropical forest all around. The main section takes about 30 minutes. From the top: a rocky summit with the ocean spread out behind you.

Recommended Rio restaurants: Gero Trattoria Rio (Ipanema, Italian and European), Oro (Leblon, Brazilian), Satyricon Rio (Ipanema, seafood), Aprazivel Rio (Santa Teresa, Brazilian - with beautiful city views), Santa Teresa neighborhood.
Rock climbing to Sugarloaf* (optional) -9
Day 5: Fly to Iguazu – Arrival at the Falls
Morning transfer to the airport - the flight south takes about 2 hours. The city fades behind the clouds and the landscape changes: instead of ocean, dense green and wide rivers. On arrival in Foz do Iguaçu, your guide meets you and accompanies you to the hotel. The road passes through a quiet border town where Brazil almost touches Argentina and Paraguay - and you can already feel the closeness of one of the most powerful waterfalls in the world.
Day 5: Fly to Iguazu – Arrival at the Falls -10
Day 6: Iguazu Falls – The Brazilian Side
After breakfast, your guide takes you to the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls - part of your Iguazu Falls tours experience. You hear the water before you even enter the park: a low, growing roar. The trail runs along the edge of the cascades. The river breaks into separate waterfalls and 275 streams drop down, dissolving into white mist. Sunlight breaks in the spray and dozens of rainbows appear in the air. Then the trail leads to the "eye of the storm" - the Devil's Throat Iguazu. Here the water crashes from about 80 meters into a narrow gorge, throwing up a thick wall of steam. The roar fills the space and you feel it in your chest. The cascades surround you on all sides. The scale and power of Iguazu Falls tours here is unlike anything else.
Day 6: Iguazu Falls – The Brazilian Side -11
Iguazu Bird Park (optional)
Iguazu Bird Park - just next to the falls, a series of large walk-through enclosures. Birds fly at eye level, walk along the paths, and sit on branches right above your head. Bright toucans with large beaks, scarlet macaws, rare protected species recovered from illegal trade. The space feels open and alive.
Iguazu Bird Park (optional) -12
Macuco Safari (optional)
Macuco Safari - a boat ride Iguazu Falls that starts with an open jeep ride through the tropical forest. Trees 30 to 40 meters tall, vines as thick as an arm, giant ferns. Then a short walk to the river, and a motorboat takes you right up to the base of the falls. The spray soaks you in seconds, the noise is huge, and rainbows appear all around you.
Macuco Safari (optional) -13
Day 7: Iguazu Falls – The Argentine Side & Devil's Throat
After breakfast, you cross to the Argentine side Iguazu Falls - this is the second half of your Iguazu Falls both sides experience. The approach here is completely different: not panoramas, but immersion. Wooden walkways pass directly over and between the streams - you see the water from below, from the side, almost at the level of the fall itself. To reach the main point, you take a small train inside the park. The park covers about 55,500 hectares of dense tropical forest with a network of trails and viewpoints. The forest is alive: coatis walk out onto the paths, dragonflies hang over the water, birds call from the canopy. The final section is a walk across a bridge over the river - and then you are at the edge of the Devil's Throat Iguazu. This is the largest single cascade: 150 meters wide and 82 meters high. The water drops directly beneath your feet - and this is roughly half the entire flow of the Iguazu River. Walk right into the heart of the falls. These impressions stay with you for a very long time.

Evening recommendation: Itaipu restaurant at Belmond das Cataratas hotel - Brazilian and European cuisine.
Day 7: Iguazu Falls – The Argentine Side & Devil's Throat -14
Day 8: Transfer to Buzios – Tropical Coastline
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport and flight to Rio de Janeiro - about 2 hours. On arrival, a driver meets you and the journey continues along the coast: the road to Buzios takes about 2.5 hours. The city gradually falls away: dense buildings give way to hills, scattered houses, and patches of green. The air becomes drier, the light softer. Buzios sits on a peninsula washed by the Atlantic, with dozens of small bays and beaches. Check in to your hotel on the tropical coast. The pace slows down here - this is luxury Buzios Brazil: calmer water, quieter streets, and every morning starts with the ocean on the horizon.
Day 8: Transfer to Buzios – Tropical Coastline -15
Day 9: Buzios – The Best Beaches
Enjoy your Buzios beach vacation - time on the tropical coast. This small peninsula is famous for its bays: more than 20 beaches, each with its own personality. João Fernandes beach has clear water and a gentle entrance. Geribá has waves and a long strip of sand. Ferradoura beach is sheltered from the wind, with calm flat water. In the evening, life moves to Rua das Pedras Buzios - restaurants and shops, soft light, and beautiful views over the hills and the sea.Recommended restaurants: Chez Françoise Buzios (French cuisine), Mistico restaurant Buzios (seafood and Brazilian), La Gare Buzios (seafood and Brazilian), 74 Restaurant Buzios at Casas Brancas —- seafood and European cuisine.
Day 9: Buzios – The Best Beaches -16
Day 10: Buzios – Free Day or Boat Tour
A free day in Buzios - time with no schedule. In the morning you can walk to the nearest bay: calm water, almost no waves, fine white sand. There is no rush today - the day is made of simple things: swimming, resting in the shade, short walks between beaches. If you want more: a Buzios boat tour or Buzios schooner cruise* along the coastline (optional extra). The boat passes islands and closed-off bays that are hard to reach by land. At the stops, you step down into warm, clear water and snorkel over the rocks. From the deck you can see how Buzios is laid out: beaches, hills, and small houses scattered along the ocean.
Day 10: Buzios – Free Day or Boat Tour -17
Day 11: Return to Rio – Departure
Breakfast at the hotel and departure towards Rio. The drive from Buzios takes about 2.5 to 3 hours: first the narrow streets of the peninsula, then coastal sections and a highway with views of the ocean. The resort pace falls behind — denser buildings appear, traffic, and the familiar silhouettes of Rio's hills. Transfer to Rio de Janeiro airport for your international flight. This is the moment when the impressions are still fresh - and they fall into a clear picture of Brazil multi-destination itinerary that you will want to come back to. This is bespoke Brazil travel at its most complete: a private Brazil tour designed around what matters most.

Buenas noches Viera.

Pavel, good afternoon!
My name is Marina Ryzhuk. A few weeks ago, our VIP group from St. Petersburg visited Rio with you. I believe you remember them well.
I’d like to thank you for your excellent work with our rather demanding guests. After the trip, they spoke very highly of your services. Our particularly important gentlemen especially appreciated your personal approach — you managed to find a special way to connect with them.
Through your tours, they were able to truly feel the city, which is absolutely priceless on such trips.
Thank you!

They said everything was as precise as with the Germans :)
REVIEW №10- Mikhail and Elena Leksikov
Good afternoon, we were in Rio de Janeiro March 15–17, 2020. Not for long, but it was very full of experiences.
The driver who met us at the airport, to our joy, spoke English and even a little Russian. He pointed out where we could walk and eat.
The next day we met Eleonora, a GUIDE and a Person with a capital P. We were lucky to visit Corcovado and see Brazil’s main symbol. Unfortunately, we couldn’t make it to Sugarloaf Mountain due to the coronavirus quarantine.
Instead of the canceled excursion, Eleonora gave us an impromptu city tour. She tells stories in an interesting way, knows a lot, but doesn’t overwhelm with facts, shows where the best photo spots are, and even took pictures herself. Thanks to her, we managed to get coffee and souvenirs—it turned out not so easy to find what we wanted.
She was very caring and concerned for us—even after we went to Búzios, she kept checking how we were, suggesting where to go and what to see and buy.

A very close-knit, friendly team, always ready to help.
REVIEW №11- Nikita, Saga Tour Operator
Good afternoon, Alexandra!
Thank you very much for the organization and support.
The tourist was very happy and said everything was top-notch :)
Paraty is definitely a place to recommend—it leaves no one indifferent. Porto Real is probably in the best spot on that coast.

Thank you!
Wishing you success in everything!

Alexandra!
Our clients have returned, very satisfied.
They left a special review about the guide in Quito:
In Quito, we had a wonderful guide named David.
During our three-day visit to Quito, your guide David was with us. He made our stay in Quito rich, interesting, and unforgettable. Not only does he know a lot about the city, the country, and its nature, he is also a truly interesting person himself. Our three days were filled with conversations about everything. Our knowledge of Ecuador is now practically encyclopedic—we learned so much. And the most important part was that it all happened through engaging discussions.
We’d like to highlight his punctuality, his thoughtfulness, and his attention to detail. His advice on restaurants and places to walk during our free time was invaluable. We’ve met many guides—this is the 103rd country we’ve visited. We don’t always get so lucky with a guide, but David was exceptional. Thank you to him and to all of you!!!

THANK YOU FOR THE EXCELLENT ORGANIZATION.
REVIEW №14- Elena and Evgeny

A poem dedicated to the Ada Tours guide!
In Rio, where sunlight meets golden skies,
Our guide Paulo greets us with kind, warm eyes.
He knows the whole city, where secrets lie deep,
And welcomes each guest with joy that’s sincere.
“Come on,” he says, “to Corcovado,
Christ calls you up to heaven’s shadow.
Then on to the beach, where waves beat the shore,
Copacabana invites us once more.”

Paulo will show us where samba resides,
Where Brazil’s true heartbeat endlessly thrives.
In favelas he sees not poverty, but life,
Where sparks of hope conquer struggle and strife.

With a smile, he leads us along every way,
Paulo’s our friend, our golden pathway.
A Brazilian guide, a master of wonder,
With him, Rio feels closer to heaven’s splendor.

This poem is from me, for you.

Good afternoon, Alexandra.
I want to thank you for organizing our vacation.
Our guides were simply outstanding – top class.
Pavel knows so much about Brazil and Rio in particular. He’s very easy to talk to, communicates effortlessly with people, is always learning something new, and gladly shares his knowledge. An excellent guide and a wonderful person.
And Tiago – we spent two days with him. He’s amazing. Even after 18 years of work, he hasn’t lost the ability to genuinely admire the beauty of the waterfalls. He still takes photos like it’s the first time.
With your guides, it’s never boring! Thank you once again!!!
REVIEW №33- Tatyana Yakubova
Hello, Alexandra.
I am sending you the full version of the tourists’ feedback:
We are publishing our review after our trip through Argentina–Uruguay–Brazil with my wife. It is always a pleasure to share emotions when they are entirely positive! We want to thank the entire Ada Tours team who helped us organize the perfect journey. From the very idea of the trip to its completion, you were always in touch with us, tailoring excursions and building the itinerary based on our requests, while also giving valuable advice and making all necessary adjustments. Everything exceeded our already high expectations – the trip was very rich and exciting! We recommend this route to everyone, especially when its organization can be entrusted to professionals☺️
We would especially like to thank you for selecting wonderful guides and drivers. At every stage, everything went like clockwork – we never missed a single thing, and the drivers were always extremely polite and pleasant.
Our journey began in Buenos Aires with a city tour. We visited the main square – Plaza de Mayo, cathedrals, and saw key architectural monuments from the Spanish colonial period, as well as the modern financial center. We explored the vibrant and colorful La Boca district and the main city ports. We were lucky with the weather, and the tour was fascinating. The guide advised us to visit several additional places, and we chose the Recoleta Cemetery, where many of Argentina’s most famous figures are buried. After the tour, we asked to be dropped off near the entrance and bought tickets. The only issue we faced was that we couldn’t pay in cash, but other visitors kindly helped us with the payment. The cemetery left a strong impression on us – we would definitely recommend it as a must-visit.
In the evening, we went to a tango show that exceeded all expectations. We watched authentic Argentine tango performed to live music, enjoyed Argentine wine, and saw other artists showcasing traditional instruments. The show was incredible and allowed us to truly experience the local culture.
The next morning we traveled by ferry to Montevideo. The journey was very comfortable; we would only recommend bringing snacks and an extra layer of clothing, as despite the heat, the ferry was air-conditioned and quite cool inside. We loved the city itself – we managed to see all the main sights and stroll along the coast. Midway through the tour, a wonderful lunch was arranged for us, followed by a light meal at the hotel.
After Montevideo, we continued as planned to Patagonia, where we spent just under three days. This place amazed us – it’s like nowhere else on Earth. From our hotel, we could see the vast Lake Argentino with its turquoise waters (sometimes flamingos can be seen there, though unfortunately we didn’t). The scenery of the Patagonian steppe and mountains will remain in our hearts for a long time. We took an excursion to the Perito Moreno Glacier – a unique wonder, truly beyond words. Probably the most powerful impression of the whole trip came from this glacier and the national park. It’s something everyone should witness with their own eyes.
After our mini-journey in Patagonia, we went on to Iguassu Falls, viewing them from both the Argentine and Brazilian sides. The sight was utterly unique and magical! Jungle, soaring eagles, butterflies, monkeys, and an endless chain of waterfalls stretching beyond sight. The park’s trails are very well maintained, with rest areas to escape the heat and humidity, and facilities everywhere.
The final stop of our trip was Brazil’s tourist capital – Rio de Janeiro. We visited the Christ the Redeemer statue, with its breathtaking views of the city, then spent time on Copacabana Beach, enjoying the Atlantic Ocean.
Overall, our journey was amazing and very full! And most importantly – as comfortable as possible, considering how vast the geography of our route was. Thank you!
Once again, thank you!

Sincerely,

Dear Alexandra!
Thank you for organizing the trip for our important clients.
It was a real pleasure working with you, and I apologize for bombarding you with questions of varying importance. The thing is, when we were selecting a partner to handle this request, many of our colleagues who shared DMC contacts warned me that there would inevitably be problems, insisting that in Brazil no one could arrange a program without “mistakes.” Because of this, I was genuinely worried. And after receiving the first replies from other companies to my requests, I too started to believe that problems would definitely arise along the way. But that was only until I received your reply.
Everything was clear, to the point, and most importantly – your support on all matters. From nudging hotel concierges to answer my emails to recommending a restaurant in São Paulo. The clients really liked the restaurant – a special BIG THANK YOU for that recommendation!
The clients’ comments about the trip, verbatim: “We loved everything, the trip was pure joy. Especially São Paulo – it’s Paradise.”
Thank you so much for your help, your support, and simply for being in Brazil!
I’ll stay in touch and wish you a wonderful day!
Sincerely,
Dmitry Romanov
