Day 6:May 17 - Uyuni - Colchani - Incahuasi - Colchani
Transfer from the hotel to the airport for the flight to Uyuni on the first day, a 50-minute flight. The expedition tour in Uyuni begins. First, we'll visit the Train Cemetery, then head to the town of Colchani, where we'll explore the salt processing center and receive a detailed explanation of the drying, grinding, and packaging process. Next, we'll venture onto the salt flats, making our first stop at OJOS DE SALAR, where you can observe the internal activity of the salt flat. Then, we'll visit PLAYA BLANCA, the "Salt Hotel-Museum," the first of its kind. At noon, we'll visit the Incahuasi Island in the middle of the salt flat. There, you'll witness unparalleled limestone rocks, large populations of cacti, caves, tunnels, and a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view of the salt flat. We'll continue our journey, crossing the vast salt flats from north to south, leaving them behind, and heading along the chain of volcanoes with their eternal snows in Lipis, where we'll see the Ollague volcano in the distance. Then, we'll continue our path to the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve, where we can enjoy the elegant figure of wild vicuñas as we reach the lakes of Canapa, Hedionda, and Honda. Here, you'll see three types of flamingos, characteristic and unique to the Andean region. Overnight at an expedition-style lodge.
