Tour route
Day 1: Amazon
Departure from Cuiabá airport to Amazon– is approximately 290 kilometers away, accessible via a paved federal highway. The journey is expected to take around 4.5 hours. We will arrive in the afternoon. Upon arrival, you will be greeted with a welcome drink and proceed to check-in at Jardim d'Amazonia EcoLodge. Enjoy dinner and overnight accommodation. (D)
Day 2 - Exploring and Discovering
After breakfast, we will follow the trails through this area, which is a transition from the savannah to the Amazon rainforest. You will not only get to know the local flora and fauna but also learn about the history of the rubber extraction industry, which played a significant role in the local economy. This trekking experience will be followed by a fish barbecue, and you can even relax in a hammock. Later on, we will go canoeing on the Claro River, exploring Anaconda Lake and enjoying the solitude of the jungle and its diverse forms of life, such as the royal duck, long-tailed tyrant, cormorant, Amazon kingfisher, green and rufous kingfisher, tangara swallow, herons, and more. Enjoy dinner and overnight accommodation. (B, L, D)
Day 3– Departure to Chapada dos Guimarães National Park
Breakfast and departure to Chapada dos Guimarães. Passing by impressive rock formation sculpted over a million years by the wind, a stunning scenario for observation. By the end of the day check-in at the charming Park Eco Lodge. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4– Chapada dos Guimarães National Park
Day devoted to wonderful hikes through the National Park. The wind and rain sculpted intriguing shapes in the sand stones covered with rich “Cerrado” vegetation, its birds’ songs and crystal clear waterfalls makes your experience a rare peace of joy. The hike ends at the 86m high water fall “Véu de Noiva” where we’ll savor a traditional meal at the local restaurant, looking down to a huge canyon. Late afternoon light hike to sun setting above the 850m high “São Geronimo” Peak in front of the Lodge. Dinner and night at the Lodge. (B,L,D)
Day 5 – Cerrado to Pantanal
Breakfast. Today we are headed to Pantanal, Araras Eco Lodge. Upon arrival, Meeting and greeting After a briefing on your trip, departure to Araras Eco Lodge. This transfer is divided into two different stages. The first is a journey on a paved road along farms and cattle ranches. After reaching Poconé – a small mining town and the gateway to the Northern Pantanal, we take the Transpantaneira Park Road at km “0” (108 km / 67.1 mi. from Cuiaba). This is a park road at its best, allowing us to drive above the water level, watching the flora and fauna of the Pantanal ecosystem – a photo safari along 32 km of dirt road with several stops along the way for photos and information. Arrival at the Loge, welcome drink and accommodation. Dinner followed by a night walk. (B,L,D)
Day 6– Canoeing and trekking
After breakfast, take a photo safari through private dirt roads towards the Clarinho River. Reaching its banks, board a canoe and paddle down the river, exploring the forest that grows by the riverbanks and mangroves. Here lives a colony of “ariranhas” – giant river otters. With some luck you may spot a family playing with their babies and teaching them how to swim and fish. Chance of fishing the elusive piranha, not an easy task, but fun. Enjoy a bush lunch under the shadow of the trees (*). Hammocks are slanged to enjoy a “siesta”. Return to the Lodge in time for an introductory walk through the surroundings of the lodge to know our concepts and our many preservation projects. Returning in time for the afternoon tea. Later on, trek the Howler Monkey trail to the Howler Monkey Tower, our highest observation point – 25 m high -, for a magnificent view of the sunset. After dinner, join a night truck safari drive in search of nocturnal animals. (B, L, D) (*) If the Sentinela Camp is not accessible (depending on the weather and terrain conditions), this canoeing tour will take place on the Corixo River. In that case, we will return to the lodge for lunch.
Day 7– Horseback riding and trekking
After breakfast, enjoy a horseback ride, which will allow you to explore the diversity of the Pantanal landscape including some flooded areas of the Pantanal plain. The Pantaneiro horse are docile and has adapted, through the centuries, to eat with its nose underwater. In this region, the horse is the Pantaneiros’ best friend, a daily companion during work and leisure. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, trek at the Rondon Trail towards the 13 m high Jabiru Stork Tower, where you can watch a Jabiru Stork nest. Return to Araras Eco Lodge for dinner and overnight. (B, L, D)
Day 8– Pantanal > Cuiabá airport
Another sunrise walk to witness the dawn of this amazing ecosystem. Return to the Lodge for breakfast. Departure to Cuiabá by 7:00 or 12:30, depending on your flight time. (B)

Dear Anna, Alexandra, Iona and the rest of the team at Ada Tours
Feed-back from a happy, satisfied customer!
A very big thank you for your very efficient services, Hospitality and most importantly your patience throughout the tour of my client. Dr. Chrysantha Mendis is very happy with the entire Tour. You did a fantastic job by organizing a detailed tour package covering 7 countries, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Chile, Peru, Argentina, and Brazil. Dr. Mendis has enjoyed all the countries though he could not do a few tours in Peru which is understandable due to political unrest. We will recommend Ada Tours to all our clients in Sri Lanka and will start promoting your tours in our website.
Best wishes and kind regards,
Shamali

REVIEW №6- Carol
Hi Anna, thank you for the update on the glasses. I’ll wait and see what happens! Alan and I are now back in the UK. We loved our trip to the Pantanal and Bonito. Our guide, Alessandra was brilliant with lots of knowledge and very considerate and helpful. The only hitch we had was on our flight back to Rio because the second leg of the trip was cancelled and we were rescheduled to a later plane and our luggage was mislaid. Fortunately it arrived in Rio a day later, before we flew home. Thank you for arranging the trip.
Best wishes Carol

Hello Anna and Natalia,
Thank you for all your help with our trip! I know our group was difficult, and I appreciate your patience with us. We loved the tours, the horseback ride, and the absolutely beautiful lunch at the vineyard. Our guides and drivers were fantastic, especially Luis. And the hotels were perfectly located. It was such a convenience to be centrally located in both Lisbon and Madeira.
I hope you enjoy a wonderful holiday and I look forward to working with you in the new year!

Everything went really well. As always we had to make some adjustments and the local guide and team on the ground were very responsive and took action professionally. I have no complaints about this :)
The clients were very pleased with the tour and all arrangements.
Changing the few meals at the end on Isabela was not an issue and the local team did a good job organizing this for me.

Many thanks again Ana!
