Day 8: Siloli Desert, Red Lagoon, Green Lagoon, Uyuni
On this day, we need to wake up very early (around 6:30 am) to enjoy the landscape of the Siloli Desert. We will visit the Stone Tree, a famous rock formation in the desert, and then head to the Red Lagoon, a unique site known for its biodiversity, being the home and nursery for flamingos. Next, we go to the Sol de Mañana, where fumaroles (geysers) showcase the volcanic activity of the region. Afterward, we proceed to Polques, where passengers can enjoy the warmth of hot springs. Later, we reach the Dali Desert, known for surreal columns of stones sculpted by the wind. We then admire the Green Lagoon, one of the gems of the Reserve, situated at the foot of the Licancabur Volcano. It's time to start the journey back to Uyuni, taking a stroll through the Valley of the Rocks, giant volcanic rocks near Alota. Our last stop is the town of San Cristóbal, relocated from its original site to accommodate one of Bolivia's largest mines. Arrival in Uyuni at approximately 6:00 pm, followed by a transfer to your hotel. Night at Hotel Luna Salada.
