A half day tour of Belize City will take guests to visit a variety of sites including the only manual swing bridge in the world (which still being swung daily) and the oldest Anglican Cathedral Church in Central America, St. John’s Cathedral, which was built in 1812 from brick brought as ballast from European sailing shops. Other sites include Government House (now a Museum) which was used as an administrative office and living quarters for the governors of Belize and the Lighthouse monument at the Fort George Point which was built from money donated to the country be Belize’s greatest benefactor – Baron Bliss, the 4trh Baron of Portugal, who at his request, he was entombed in from of the lighthouse which he designed himself prior to his death.
