Peru, the place of ancient land

Peru is a land of ancient mysteries and breathtaking landscapes, where every corner tells a story that spans centuries and civilizations.
Lima, Peru’s vibrant capital, blends colonial elegance with coastal charm, offering a rich fusion of history, culture, and world-renowned cuisine.
Puno, perched on the shores of Lake Titicaca, is a magical gateway to the floating islands of the Uros people — a place where age-old traditions still thrive above the shimmering waters.

Peru, one of the most mysterious countries in Latin America, draws travelers with its wonders:
Machu Picchu – the most enigmatic city, lost in the mountains!
Lima – the City of Kings, known for its refined architecture!
Puno – the land of floating islands on Lake Titicaca!
Colca – the deepest, yet breathtakingly beautiful canyon!
The mysterious Nazca Lines!
Cusco – the ancient capital of the Inca Empire!

The tour route is planned by days

Discover Peru day by day
Day 1: Lima
Arrival in Lima. Meeting, transfer to a 3* hotel.
Lima is a South American pearl located on the shores of the Pacific Ocean. The city was founded by the Spaniards, but here you can feel not only the spirit of Europe, but also the spirit of the Incas. Exquisite European-style architecture and monuments of the pre-Inca era delight the eye everywhere.
Day 1: Lima -0
Day 2: Lima
After breakfast, together with the guide, we begin our acquaintance with the city of kings, as Lima is called. Our first impression will be in the Park of Love in the Miraflores area. The most extraordinary sculpture of the famous Peruvian modern master Victor Dolphin - "Kiss" - fully corresponds to the name of the park. It was opened just on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1993. From the walls of the park there is an amazing view of the ocean, and the walls themselves are like pages from a book about love. The tour will continue to the historical center of Lima, which is full of monuments and pyramids from different eras. We will also explore the San Isidro area, where the main financial institutions of Lima are concentrated. The main points of the route are the central square, where the famous Government Palace, the Municipality, and the Archbishop's Palace are located. We will also visit the Cathedral. The grave of the founder of Lima, Francisco Pizarro, is located here (entrance ticket to the cathedral is included). In the monastery of St. Dominic, we will walk through the narrow corridors, and imagine how the Peruvian saints walked here. (entrance ticket to the monastery is included). We will also visit one of the most famous and ancient house - museum “Casa Aliaga” or the House of Aliaga, whose history is closely connected with the founding of the capital of Pera, Lima. The house was founded, like Lima, in the 16th century, on the foundation of the Inca pyramid. A family lives here - descendants of the Spanish conquistador, Captain Aliaga. The house has 66 rooms, but several rooms and halls are open to visitors, but they also amaze with great taste and beauty. From floor to ceiling - literally everything can be proudly called an art object. There are paintings of the Cusco school on the walls. One of the main attributes of the house are carved chests. In the evening at 18:00 we will take a Water Magic Tour. We will visit the largest fountain complex in the world. The complex consists of 12 cybernetic fountains, the water jets of some of them rise up to 80 meters. Return to the hotel.
Day 2: Lima -1
Day 3: Lima / Cusco
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for departure to Cusco. Upon arrival, a meeting and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon we will enjoy an interesting excursion to the Sacsayhuaman complex, which was built during the Inca period. According to legend, people from other tribes were not allowed to enter the complex. Sacsayhuaman was considered a sacred place for the Incas. The ruler was of royal blood, as only kings could rule the house of the Sun, which was considered a complex. There are a lot of ancient temples and architectural complexes in Peru. Besides Sacsayhuaman, Coricancha is also considered a temple of the Sun. According to legend, the temple was built in the 15th century of gold and sparkled under the rays of the sun, attracting conquerors. The interior of the temple was completely lined with gold, even the altar was in the shape of a golden disk. But the Spaniards came to the land of the Incas, and destroyed the temple, and built their own monastery on its site. But the earthquake also destroyed the Spanish monastery, and already strong Coricancha slabs were found under the ruins of the monastery. The next point of our tour is the Tambomachay Water Temple, which was also considered a sacred place for the Incas. There were Inca baths here, and the Great Inca came here to swim in the pool, where water flowed through specially built channels. Very close to the Tambomachai temple, you can notice another archaeological complex with very interesting walls and towers. This is the Red Fort, or in the language of the Incas - Puka Pukara, which was a security complex. After a busy tour, return to the hotel. Overnight in Cuzco. Optional: visit to the Cathedral of Cusco (+ $25 guided tour for 40 minutes before the city tour). Return to the 3* hotel ”Sueño del Inca” or the same category.
Day 3: Lima / Cusco -2
Day 4: Cusco / Machu Picchu / Cusco
More and more we are immersed in the mysterious world of ancient Peru. From the hotel we go to the railway station, from where we take tourist trains on an exciting journey to the lost world in the mountains of Peru. The whole city with its unique buildings, terraces, and structures was hidden from the eyes of the common man. Machu Picchu was discovered by an American researcher in the 20th century by chance. Machu Picchu is considered the city of the Incas, who left it one day for an unknown reason. As soon as you step into the territory of the lost city, you feel a special energy. The beauty of the mountains, the depth of the canyon, the pleasant greenery, and you feel like part of a centuries-old mystery. After the tour, you will have free time: imagine yourself as the discoverer of Machu Picchu, arrange a photo shoot against the backdrop of wonderful mountains or, if you are lucky, meet a llama. We take the bus down to the village for lunch at the national cuisine restaurant. Then we go to the station, and return by train. Transfer to the hotel in Cusco.
Day 4: Cusco / Machu Picchu / Cusco -3
Day 5: Cusco / Sacred Valley
Breakfast. The Sacred Valley, the cradle of the Inca civilization, was famous for its fertility and favorable climate, and therefore it was easy for the population to engage in agriculture and receive rich harvests. The Incas built entire cities in the Sacred Valley, and now in their place are the ruins of these cities: Urubamba with the country residence of the Supreme Head of the Incas, Huayna Capac; the important archaeological complex of Pisak in the shape of a partridge on Vilcabamba hill; Ollantaitambo with a ceremonial center; Chinchero with an interesting colonial temple built right on top of the walls of the Inca Temple of the Sun; a beautiful Morai complex with terraces for agriculture in the form of an amphitheater. Not far from Pisak, you can visit the fair and buy silver, ceramic, and leather products made by craftsmen. In the zoological center "Auanacancha" we will be shown the most famous animals of this region - llamas, alpacas and vicunias, and will be introduced to the conditions of their feeding, with the process of dyeing their expensive wool. Lunch is a buffet in the national cuisine restaurant. Return to the hotel.
Day 5: Cusco / Sacred Valley -4
Day 6: Cusco / Puno
Breakfast at the hotel. The tour starts from the station, from where we take the bus to Puno. During the trip, we will have several stops to explore the most beautiful sights – Andaguailillas, which is compared to the Sistine Chapel, and Rakchi, which once served as an administrative building of the ancient Inca peoples. After lunch in Sikuani, we will also stop at La Raya, one of the colorful places along the way - the market, located against the backdrop of beautiful mountains; and the fortification of the ancient Incas – Pukara. At the end of the day (after ten hours on the road) we arrive in Puno and go to the hotel "Sol Plaza" 3* or the same category. Alternatively, you can consider a trip by luxury train “Titicaca train” from the capital of the Inca Empire - Cusco to Puno on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. You will be comfortable watching the changing landscape outside the window. On the train, you can have lunch (including appetizer, main course and dessert) in a chic restaurant car, or have a glass of wine at the bar, you rush through mountains and valleys. On the way, you will have a stop at La Raya, which is located at an altitude of 4319 meters, and is considered the highest point of the route. The train will arrive in Puno at about 19:00.(+$250 per person)
Day 6: Cusco / Puno -5
Day 7: Puno / Lake Titicaca
In the morning, after breakfast, we drive to Lake Titicaca, located at an altitude of almost 4,000 meters. Many legends tell about this beautiful lake, on the shore of which the city of Puno is located, and more than 30 floating islands float on the surface. These are the Uros Islands, the islands of the Aymara Indians, built of reeds. Indians are engaged in fishing, tourism, providing tourists with accommodation on the islands, weaving baskets, furniture and even boats. On these small amazingly beautiful boats, you can ride around the lake accompanied by an Indian. Indians still live by their customs and traditions. The most distinctive islands of the South American continent. For its weaving art, the island was declared a "Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Mankind" by UNESCO in 2005. Lunch on the island. Return to Puno, 3* hotel "Sol Plaza".
Day 7: Puno / Lake Titicaca -6
Day 8: Puno/Colca
After breakfast, we take a comfortable bus to transfer to the city of Chiwai, to the deepest canyon in the world. Kolka Canyon has a depth of about 3,500 meters, and is considered one of the most beautiful. There are two active volcanoes near the canyon, and the canyon is the result of their activity. Along the way, we will stop at several places with beautiful views. On the lake "Lagunilas" we will observe the beautiful inhabitants of the lake - pink flamingos. The observation deck offers an amazing panorama of 3 volcanoes. Arrival in the town of Chiwai and accommodation at the Colca Llacta 3* hotel. If desired, you can visit the hot springs. It's time for lunch.
Day 8: Puno/Colca -7
Day 9: Colca / Arequipa
After breakfast, we go to the La Cruz del Condor observation deck, which is located an hour and a half drive from the town of Chiwai. From here, from the highest point of the Canyon, we will see the most famous bird predators of the region - condors. It is very interesting to watch the flight of a powerful bird, whose wingspan reaches 3 meters. The depth of Kolka Canyon is 2 times greater than that of the Grand Canyon in the USA. After the tour, return to the hotel and departure to Arequipa. On the way to the white city among the volcanoes, as Arequipa is called, we will have stops and visits to the villages of Yankee and Maca and on observation decks with panoramic views of 3 volcanoes. Arrival and accommodation at the 3* * hotel ”Conde de Lemos Inn” or the same category. Free time to explore the city of Arequipa.
Day 9: Colca / Arequipa -8
Day 10: Arequipa / Lima
After breakfast, we begin a tour of the white city, a wonderful example of colonial architecture. Arequipa was founded in the 16th century by the Spanish conquerors. The White City is located in a fertile valley at an altitude of over 2,300 meters and is surrounded by 3 volcanoes: Misty, Chachani and Pichu Pichu. Since almost all buildings are built of white stone, it is popularly called white. Since 2000, Arequipa has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. During the tour, we will also visit the central square of the city, the observation deck of Yanauara and the convent of Santa Catalina, founded at the end of the 16th century. It covers 20 square kilometers and on its territory there are more than 100 rooms, including a church, galleries, gardens, and the Pinakothek art gallery, where many paintings of religious art are stored. At the appointed time, transfer to the airport for departure to Lima. Upon arrival – meeting, transfer to the hotel and accommodation.”Britania" or the same category.
Day 10: Arequipa / Lima -9
Day 11: Lima
Free time in Lima. You can book an excursion to Paracas Nazca. Early in the morning departure from Lima to Paracas, where we sail from the port of Paracas by boat at 8:00 for an excursion to the Andean Candelabrum of Pararcas and the islands of Ballestas. Peru is a country of many mysteries, and one of the mysterious phenomena is the Andean Candelabra, a huge drawing almost 130 meters high and about 75 meters wide, which was left on the mountainside, in the bay of the Paracas Peninsula. This drawing is visible from afar, both from the sea and from the sky. No one knows who left this drawing for centuries. There are many legends surrounding this drawing. Some believe that this is the “tree of life”, a symbol of ancient cultures. The Andean Candelabra is part of the Paracas National Park. The next point of the tour is the Ballestas Islands, a place inhabited by penguins, sea lions and seals, and a wide variety of birds. The Ballestas Islands are three large islands and many small rocky islets near Paracas, in the Pacific Ocean. There are many grottoes and arches on the islands. We will explore the islands from the sea, as it is not allowed to land on the island. Dolphins often come to the shores of the islands, and if you are lucky, you can see them during a boat trip. The Candelabra of Paracas is often associated with the Nazca Lines, which are located near Paracas. The style of the drawings is the same, and we will notice this during the flight over the Nazca Desert. We arrive at the airfield and take a small plane over the desert. From above you can see giant drawings of humans and animals – monkeys, hummingbirds, spiders, geometric shapes. The flight lasts 35 minutes. Return to the airfield. And moving to Lima. Transfer to the hotel.
Day 11: Lima -10
Day 12: Lima / Iquitos
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport with an English-speaking guide for the flight to Iquitos. Meeting at the airport with representatives of the lodge and transfer to the port to board the boat. You will sail along the Amazon to the Heliconia Lodge, and on the way you will visit the floating city of El Velen and observe the wonderful pictures of nature. Upon arrival at the lodge, a welcome cocktail made from local tropical fruits is served. After accommodation– lunch and a walk through the jungle, during which you can see exotic plants, relict tropical trees and animals living in the forests. An unforgettable picture of the sunset over the lodge. Upon return, dinner, music and fascinating stories from local guides.
Day 12: Lima / Iquitos -11
Day 13: Iquitos
At the lodge you will have full board with excursions and various activities: an early tour of the jungle, when nature is just waking up; fishing for piranhas; visiting local Indian tribes "Boras"; visiting animal husbandry, where you can get acquainted with the animals living in the jungle; watching pink dolphins and sunset on the Amazon. The most interesting thing awaits you at night - a canoe trip along the lake and tributaries in the jungle and watching the caimans.
Day 13: Iquitos -12
Day 14: Iquitos / Lima
Full board. At the appointed time, transfer to the airport, and on the way we will look into the criaderos of the largest river fish of Paiche and enjoy the beauty of the largest water lily - Victoria regia. Flight from Iquitos to Lima. Meeting and transfer to the hotel with a driver. Accommodation in a 3* Britania hotel or the same category.
Day 14: Iquitos / Lima -13
Day 15: Lima
Transfer to the airport at the appointed time. If time permits, on the way to the airport we will visit one of the best museums not only in Lima but also in the world - the Larco Herrera Museum. The museum was founded in the early 20th century, in the house of the Viceroy of Peru. The house was built in the 18th century in the colonial style. There is an amazingly rich collection of ceramics, fabrics, jewelry, gold, mummies, as well as one of the richest collections of pottery with an erotic hint, unique in its kind. The museum holds more than 45 thousand exhibits. All exhibits clearly show the history, way of life and culture of the ancient Inca civilizations, Moche, Nazca and Chimu. ($65 for 1 person). Buenas noches Viera.

Pavel, good afternoon!
My name is Marina Ryzhuk. A few weeks ago, our VIP group from St. Petersburg visited Rio with you. I believe you remember them well.
I’d like to thank you for your excellent work with our rather demanding guests. After the trip, they spoke very highly of your services. Our particularly important gentlemen especially appreciated your personal approach — you managed to find a special way to connect with them.
Through your tours, they were able to truly feel the city, which is absolutely priceless on such trips.
Thank you!

Anna, thank you very much on behalf of our tourists, the Chubar family, who visited in February.
They praised your excellent and well-organized work and were very pleased!
They said everything was as precise as with the Germans :)
REVIEW №6- Mikhail and Elena Leksikov
Good afternoon, we were in Rio de Janeiro March 15–17, 2020. Not for long, but it was very full of experiences.
The driver who met us at the airport, to our joy, spoke English and even a little Russian. He pointed out where we could walk and eat.
The next day we met Eleonora, a GUIDE and a Person with a capital P. We were lucky to visit Corcovado and see Brazil’s main symbol. Unfortunately, we couldn’t make it to Sugarloaf Mountain due to the coronavirus quarantine.
Instead of the canceled excursion, Eleonora gave us an impromptu city tour. She tells stories in an interesting way, knows a lot, but doesn’t overwhelm with facts, shows where the best photo spots are, and even took pictures herself. Thanks to her, we managed to get coffee and souvenirs—it turned out not so easy to find what we wanted.
She was very caring and concerned for us—even after we went to Búzios, she kept checking how we were, suggesting where to go and what to see and buy.

A very close-knit, friendly team, always ready to help.

Good afternoon, Alexandra!
Thank you very much for the organization and support.
The tourist was very happy and said everything was top-notch :)
Paraty is definitely a place to recommend—it leaves no one indifferent. Porto Real is probably in the best spot on that coast.

Thank you!
Wishing you success in everything!

Alexandra!
Our clients have returned, very satisfied.
They left a special review about the guide in Quito:
In Quito, we had a wonderful guide named David.
During our three-day visit to Quito, your guide David was with us. He made our stay in Quito rich, interesting, and unforgettable. Not only does he know a lot about the city, the country, and its nature, he is also a truly interesting person himself. Our three days were filled with conversations about everything. Our knowledge of Ecuador is now practically encyclopedic—we learned so much. And the most important part was that it all happened through engaging discussions.
We’d like to highlight his punctuality, his thoughtfulness, and his attention to detail. His advice on restaurants and places to walk during our free time was invaluable. We’ve met many guides—this is the 103rd country we’ve visited. We don’t always get so lucky with a guide, but David was exceptional. Thank you to him and to all of you!!!

THANK YOU FOR THE EXCELLENT ORGANIZATION.

A poem dedicated to the Ada Tours guide!
In Rio, where sunlight meets golden skies,
Our guide Paulo greets us with kind, warm eyes.
He knows the whole city, where secrets lie deep,
And welcomes each guest with joy that’s sincere.
“Come on,” he says, “to Corcovado,
Christ calls you up to heaven’s shadow.
Then on to the beach, where waves beat the shore,
Copacabana invites us once more.”

Paulo will show us where samba resides,
Where Brazil’s true heartbeat endlessly thrives.
In favelas he sees not poverty, but life,
Where sparks of hope conquer struggle and strife.

With a smile, he leads us along every way,
Paulo’s our friend, our golden pathway.
A Brazilian guide, a master of wonder,
With him, Rio feels closer to heaven’s splendor.

This poem is from me, for you.

Good afternoon, Alexandra.
I want to thank you for organizing our vacation.
Our guides were simply outstanding – top class.
Pavel knows so much about Brazil and Rio in particular. He’s very easy to talk to, communicates effortlessly with people, is always learning something new, and gladly shares his knowledge. An excellent guide and a wonderful person.
And Tiago – we spent two days with him. He’s amazing. Even after 18 years of work, he hasn’t lost the ability to genuinely admire the beauty of the waterfalls. He still takes photos like it’s the first time.
With your guides, it’s never boring! Thank you once again!!!
REVIEW №29- Tatyana Yakubova
Hello, Alexandra.
I am sending you the full version of the tourists’ feedback:
We are publishing our review after our trip through Argentina–Uruguay–Brazil with my wife. It is always a pleasure to share emotions when they are entirely positive! We want to thank the entire Ada Tours team who helped us organize the perfect journey. From the very idea of the trip to its completion, you were always in touch with us, tailoring excursions and building the itinerary based on our requests, while also giving valuable advice and making all necessary adjustments. Everything exceeded our already high expectations – the trip was very rich and exciting! We recommend this route to everyone, especially when its organization can be entrusted to professionals☺️
We would especially like to thank you for selecting wonderful guides and drivers. At every stage, everything went like clockwork – we never missed a single thing, and the drivers were always extremely polite and pleasant.
Our journey began in Buenos Aires with a city tour. We visited the main square – Plaza de Mayo, cathedrals, and saw key architectural monuments from the Spanish colonial period, as well as the modern financial center. We explored the vibrant and colorful La Boca district and the main city ports. We were lucky with the weather, and the tour was fascinating. The guide advised us to visit several additional places, and we chose the Recoleta Cemetery, where many of Argentina’s most famous figures are buried. After the tour, we asked to be dropped off near the entrance and bought tickets. The only issue we faced was that we couldn’t pay in cash, but other visitors kindly helped us with the payment. The cemetery left a strong impression on us – we would definitely recommend it as a must-visit.
In the evening, we went to a tango show that exceeded all expectations. We watched authentic Argentine tango performed to live music, enjoyed Argentine wine, and saw other artists showcasing traditional instruments. The show was incredible and allowed us to truly experience the local culture.
The next morning we traveled by ferry to Montevideo. The journey was very comfortable; we would only recommend bringing snacks and an extra layer of clothing, as despite the heat, the ferry was air-conditioned and quite cool inside. We loved the city itself – we managed to see all the main sights and stroll along the coast. Midway through the tour, a wonderful lunch was arranged for us, followed by a light meal at the hotel.
After Montevideo, we continued as planned to Patagonia, where we spent just under three days. This place amazed us – it’s like nowhere else on Earth. From our hotel, we could see the vast Lake Argentino with its turquoise waters (sometimes flamingos can be seen there, though unfortunately we didn’t). The scenery of the Patagonian steppe and mountains will remain in our hearts for a long time. We took an excursion to the Perito Moreno Glacier – a unique wonder, truly beyond words. Probably the most powerful impression of the whole trip came from this glacier and the national park. It’s something everyone should witness with their own eyes.
After our mini-journey in Patagonia, we went on to Iguassu Falls, viewing them from both the Argentine and Brazilian sides. The sight was utterly unique and magical! Jungle, soaring eagles, butterflies, monkeys, and an endless chain of waterfalls stretching beyond sight. The park’s trails are very well maintained, with rest areas to escape the heat and humidity, and facilities everywhere.
The final stop of our trip was Brazil’s tourist capital – Rio de Janeiro. We visited the Christ the Redeemer statue, with its breathtaking views of the city, then spent time on Copacabana Beach, enjoying the Atlantic Ocean.
Overall, our journey was amazing and very full! And most importantly – as comfortable as possible, considering how vast the geography of our route was. Thank you!
Once again, thank you!

Sincerely,

Dear Alexandra!
Thank you for organizing the trip for our important clients.
It was a real pleasure working with you, and I apologize for bombarding you with questions of varying importance. The thing is, when we were selecting a partner to handle this request, many of our colleagues who shared DMC contacts warned me that there would inevitably be problems, insisting that in Brazil no one could arrange a program without “mistakes.” Because of this, I was genuinely worried. And after receiving the first replies from other companies to my requests, I too started to believe that problems would definitely arise along the way. But that was only until I received your reply.
Everything was clear, to the point, and most importantly – your support on all matters. From nudging hotel concierges to answer my emails to recommending a restaurant in São Paulo. The clients really liked the restaurant – a special BIG THANK YOU for that recommendation!
The clients’ comments about the trip, verbatim: “We loved everything, the trip was pure joy. Especially São Paulo – it’s Paradise.”
Thank you so much for your help, your support, and simply for being in Brazil!
I’ll stay in touch and wish you a wonderful day!
Sincerely,
Dmitry Romanov

My client has returned and wrote a thank-you letter. They liked everything, especially Iguassu and Paraty – they truly fell in love with those places.
The only thing is, they didn’t manage to see jaguars. She is planning Guyana and Suriname next year – we’ll arrange it together with you!

Sincerely,
