Jericoacoara is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. It's interesting that the village has narrow streets and cozy little houses that have been preserved from the old settlement. The name "Jericoacoara" comes from the Tupi-Guarani language of the indigenous people and means "cave where turtles live." It's amazing that there are so many turtles on the beach in Jericoacoara.
