Take in how the Buenos Aires Obelisk rises above the stream of cars: at its base, you feel the full sweep of the capital. On 9 de Julio Avenue, you'll want to capture both the white tip of the monument and the wide street where the city moves in every direction at once.
Over dinner, conversation fades - Argentine tango begins on stage. You follow the precise steps, sharp turns, and pauses where the tension only builds. A tango show with dinner in Buenos Aires gives you an evening when it's hard to look away from the dancers.
Before you lies Perito Moreno Glacier: white ridges, deep blue crevasses, and a wall of ice above the water. Gaze into Lake Argentino, where chunks of ice drift. And if a block breaks off the glacier, you'll first hear a crack, then a boom - and see the waves spreading outward.
Damp air, rustling leaves, bird calls - Tierra del Fuego National Park invites you to listen to the Land of Fire. Walk among the trees, pause by a lake, then step out to the sea. At Lapataia Bay, it's lovely to stand on the walkways, studying the water between the islands and the mountain slopes.
Top off your journey with a penguin encounter: on Martillo Island, a tour lets you watch the colony during a walk. Magellanic penguins waddle toward the water, preen their feathers, and stand in pairs. Pick one bird and follow it: the small events here are enough for a whole story.
An Iguazu Falls tour shows them from two sides: first you approach individual cascades, then take in the wide panorama. At the Devil's Throat - a waterfall with clouds of spray rising above it - you'll want to put the camera away, feel the droplets on your face, and stand still, surrendering to the deafening roar.
The cabin rises, the shore recedes, and a Sugarloaf Mountain tour turns into a search for familiar places from above. Day-by-day itinerary: Argentina, Patagonia and Brazil

Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival in Buenos Aires. Private transfer to hotel

At Buenos Aires airport, a driver will meet you. A private transfer takes you to your hotel; after the flight, you can rest a little or head out to explore on your own.

Your first pleasure on an Argentina tour is settling at a table in the San Telmo market with hot empanadas and coffee. It's lovely to study the old metal arches above the stalls, listen to conversations and decide where to go next. At the antique dealers, you'll find old toys and black-and-white family photographs. It's fascinating to look at strangers' faces and wonder how their families lived. And for a walk by the water, the Puerto Madero waterfront fits perfectly, with its old brick buildings and glass towers.

A Buenos Aires tour is above all European architecture framed by Argentine street life. To get to know Buenos Aires, you don't have to wait for a guided tour: the city is best discovered on foot - studying buildings, stopping for coffee, trying local food. Today you can pick your own cafe, walk an extra block for a beautiful balcony, or pause to listen to music.

After breakfast at the hotel, you'll set out on a Buenos Aires city tour with an English-speaking guide (6 hrs). Your guide will tell you about life in this port city. You'll stop by the 67-meter Obelisk on 9 de Julio Avenue: it's visible from afar above the stream of cars. At Plaza de Mayo in Buenos Aires, admire the pink facade of the presidential palace.

In La Boca, Buenos Aires, it's worth photographing the colorful walls of the brightly painted houses. Then you'll get to know San Telmo, Monserrat and Palermo. In Recoleta, Buenos Aires, it's a pleasure to study the mansions with French-style facades. You'll see Plaza San Martín and Plaza del Congreso, Corrientes and Mayo avenues, Puerto Madero, and Lezama and 3 de Febrero parks. The daytime program wraps up with the financial and commercial center and a football stadium.

In the evening, a tango show with dinner in Buenos Aires awaits - a group visit without a guide. Precise steps, sharp turns and pauses between movements - you'll want to forget about time and simply watch the dancers, savoring their grace and artistry.

Day 3. Flight from Buenos Aires to El Calafate. Transfer to hotel

After breakfast, a private transfer with a driver takes you to the airport. Flight to El Calafate in Argentine Patagonia, then a meet-and-greet and another private transfer with a driver to your hotel.

In Calafate, Argentina greets you with a cool wind, open steppe and the blue water of Lake Argentino. The town was founded in 1927 and named after a local thorny shrub with dark berries. After the capital's streets, you'll want to look into the distance: low shrubs give way to rolling hills, and above them, an enormous sky. You've arrived where Patagonia tours introduce you to glaciers descending from the Andes to the lakes. The main goal of Calafate tours is Perito Moreno Glacier: you'll head there tomorrow.

If you still have energy, take a walk along Libertador Avenue on your own and drop into a restaurant: Patagonian cuisine is famous for lamb, slow-roasted over an open fire. After a cool walk, it's lovely to settle at a table, try hot meat and order ice cream made from calafate berries.
Day 3. Flight from Buenos Aires to El Calafate. Transfer to hotel -2

Day 4. Calafate. Tour to Perito Moreno Glacier with an English-speaking guide.

After breakfast, a tour to Perito Moreno Glacier awaits in a group with an English-speaking guide. In Los Glaciares National Park, you'll walk along the viewing walkways and stop in front of a towering wall of ice. Step up to the railing: from here, you can clearly see the sharp ridges and blue crevasses. You'll want to study every single one.

This icy river of Patagonia slowly descends from the Andes into Lake Argentino. Your guide will explain how the glacier moves and why enormous blocks break off from it. If you're lucky enough to witness a collapse, you'll hear a crack and a boom, then notice waves spreading across the water. After a sound like that, you can't help but listen to every little rustle.

A warm jacket comes in handy here: the wind from the lake quickly chills your hands. Linger at the platform and watch the drifting chunks of ice. White ice on the surface, deep blue in the crevasses, turquoise water below - how many different shots you'll want to take home from this place!
Day 4. Calafate. Tour to Perito Moreno Glacier with an English-speaking guide. -3

Day 5. Flight from Calafate to Ushuaia. Transfer to hotel

A transfer will take you to Calafate airport for your flight to Ushuaia. On arrival, another transfer takes you to your hotel.

Even in summer, when heading off on a Ushuaia tour, it's worth packing a warm jacket: it's cool by the water, and the wind makes you pull up your collar. Here, at the end of the earth, Ushuaia greets you with mountains pressing right up to the city streets and a port at their base. If you feel like a stroll after the journey, head to the waterfront. Before you lies the Beagle Channel: vessels sit at the docks, and mountain slopes rise beyond the water. It's lovely to walk along the shore, pause at the port and study the colorful houses against the backdrop of the peaks.

The tour will bring you closer to the nature of Tierra del Fuego tomorrow, in the national park. For today, drop into a cafe, warm your hands around a cup and pick a seat by the window. Or stop by a souvenir shop, unfold a map and find Ushuaia: trace your finger from Buenos Aires through Calafate to the southernmost point of your journey. Astonishing, isn't it?
Day 5. Flight from Calafate to Ushuaia. Transfer to hotel -4

Day 6. Ushuaia. Tour to Tierra del Fuego National Park. Beagle Channel, Pipo River, Susana Mountains, Roca Lake, lagoons.

After breakfast, you'll head to Tierra del Fuego National Park. Along the way, you'll see the Pipo River valley near Ushuaia and the forested slopes of Susana Mountain. At Ensenada Bay, look out at Redonda Island.

In the forest, it's lovely to breathe the damp air and walk among the trees, listening to the birds. Magellanic woodpeckers live here: if you're lucky, you'll spot a male with a bright red head. At Roca Lake near Ushuaia, linger on the shore: mountains rise above the water, and the wind drives fine ripples across it. You'll also see lagoons, a beaver dam and a forest cabin. Study the gnawed tree trunks: they make it easy to picture how beavers reshape the local streams.

At Lapataia Bay, the forest meets the sea. Walk along the walkways, look at the water between the small islands and listen to the calls of coastal birds. This is where Argentina's Route 3 ends. After the drive, it's especially pleasant to stand by the shore, gazing toward where the road runs out.
Day 6. Ushuaia. Tour to Tierra del Fuego National Park. Beagle Channel, Pipo River, Susana Mountains, Roca Lake, lagoons. -5

Optional excursion: penguin reserve on Martillo Island*

You head out to sea and watch from the deck as the shore of Ushuaia recedes. Ahead lies the Martillo penguin reserve, and you'll walk among its inhabitants.

On Martillo Island, the excursion continues at the colony: Magellanic penguins all around you! Some head for the water, others stand in pairs or preen their feathers. It's fascinating to stop and watch a single bird: where it's going, who it's calling to, why it suddenly hurries. You'll want to crouch down to photograph them at eye level: then your shots will capture their funny walk, short wings and businesslike stares.

Among them, you may spot gentoo penguins with red beaks. Be sure to look out at the sea: albatrosses, cormorants, petrels and South American terns fly over the water.

Day 7. Flight from Ushuaia to Foz do Iguaçu. Transfer to hotel

After breakfast, a private transfer with a driver takes you to the airport. You fly to Iguazu; on arrival, a driver takes you to your hotel.

On the Patagonia and Brazil tour, you'll trade the cool wind at the glaciers for warm, humid air. Here you'll want to tuck your jacket away in the suitcase! A Foz do Iguaçu tour introduces you to the cascades on the border of two countries. Their ledges are made of basalt - solidified lava from ancient eruptions. The river eroded the rock, deepening its channel; islands split the flow into separate waterfalls.

Around them, the Atlantic Forest has been preserved, protected by the national parks of Argentina and Brazil. Vines wrap around trunks, orchids grow among the branches, and clouds of mist keep the greenery lush by the cascades. On Brazil tours, it's especially interesting here to watch the forest dwellers: toucans and coatis. During your upcoming walk by the falls, look up into the canopy: spotting a bright beak among the leaves is a joy of its own.
Day 7. Flight from Ushuaia to Foz do Iguaçu. Transfer to hotel -7

Day 8. Foz do Iguaçu. Tour of the Argentine side of the falls with an English-speaking guide. Devil's Throat

After breakfast, you'll head to Iguazu National Park with an English-speaking guide. The Argentine side of Iguazu lets you get close to the cascades: from the walkways, you can see how the water picks up speed and plunges over the ledges.

There are three main routes here. The Upper Circuit runs above the falls: peer down and follow the streams as they drop. The Lower Circuit leads through the forest to views of the cascades from below. The third route takes you to the Devil's Throat - a waterfall where you can barely hear your companion. Before you lies a churning abyss, with spray rising above it. You'll want to grip the railing tightly and watch as yet another stream vanishes into a white cloud.

At the Iguazu viewing platforms, linger for photos: on sunny days, rainbows appear above the water. Try to catch the colorful arc between the cascades in your shot, then ask someone to photograph you against that backdrop. Put the camera away for a minute: feel the cool droplets on your face and listen to that roar resonating in your chest.
Day 8. Foz do Iguaçu. Tour of the Argentine side of the falls with an English-speaking guide. Devil's Throat -8

Day 9. Foz do Iguaçu. Tour of the Brazilian side of the falls. Flight to Rio de Janeiro.

After breakfast, you'll head to the falls with an English-speaking guide. The Brazilian side of Iguazu lets you see the cascades all together: a long wall of falling water stretches out before you, with green islands between the streams. Yesterday you peered at individual waterfalls from the walkways; today you'll take in the full scale of the spectacle.

Stop on the trail and pick a wide shot: let it capture the ledges, the white streams and the clouds of spray above the canyon. As you get closer to the water, the roar grows louder, and cool droplets settle on your skin. It's lovely to linger here: the sound of water drowns out your thoughts, leaving only awe.

After the tour, a driver takes you to the airport. Flight to Rio de Janeiro, meet-and-greet and transfer to your hotel. After check-in, your Rio de Janeiro tour can continue with a walk on your own. If you still have energy, get to know Brazilian cuisine over dinner: try grilled meat. Order a caipirinha: in Brazil, it's made from cachaça, lime, sugar and ice.
Day 9. Foz do Iguaçu. Tour of the Brazilian side of the falls. Flight to Rio de Janeiro. -9

Day 10. Rio de Janeiro. Sugarloaf Mountain tour. Cable car. City panorama. Old Town walk

After breakfast, a Sugarloaf Mountain tour with an English-speaking guide awaits (6 hrs). The Pao de Acucar cable car first lifts you to Urca Hill. As the cabin glides over the slope, look down: the shore recedes, and the bay opens up. On the wide platform, you can grab a bite at a restaurant or bar.

One more ascent, and you're at the top of Sugarloaf. The platform here is smaller, but how much there is to take in! Find the curve of Copacabana, the islands in the ocean, the statue of Christ among the mountains. Once you spot the Niterói Bridge, it's easy to photograph Rio together with the bay: the long crossing helps convey the scale of the panorama. Ask your guide to point out familiar places from this height.

Then you'll drive to old Rio: colonial churches, monasteries and buildings look completely different after the mountain panoramas. You'll admire the historic facades and the main cathedral. Step closer, study the stucco and window frames, and pick a facade you like for a photo.
Day 10. Rio de Janeiro. Sugarloaf Mountain tour. Cable car. City panorama. Old Town walk -10

Day 11. Rio de Janeiro. Corcovado tour to Christ the Redeemer.

After breakfast, you'll set out on a tour with an English-speaking guide. In the center, you'll see historic churches, monasteries, the main cathedral and colonial buildings.

Then the Corcovado train ride begins: the electric train carries you through the greenery to the summit. The Tijuca Forest in Rio presses right up to the railway. Look out the window: vines flash between the trunks, and you may spot monkeys and birds in the branches.

At the top, Christ the Redeemer awaits. Lift your head and look at the open arms: this gesture means blessing and acceptance of every person. For believers, this is a place of prayer; beside the monument, you'll want to pause for a moment before photographing the city.

From the platform, you'll find Guanabara Bay, the Niterói Bridge, Sugarloaf. Ask your guide to point out the Botanical Garden in Rio and Maracanã Stadium in Rio, one of the largest in the world. It's fascinating to study the city from above: recognizing the outlines of yesterday's routes and deciding where you'd like to go next.
Day 11. Rio de Janeiro. Corcovado tour to Christ the Redeemer. -11

Day 12. Transfer to Rio de Janeiro airport. Departure home

After breakfast, a driver will take you to Rio de Janeiro airport for your flight home. If there's time before the transfer, you can step out to Copacabana Beach one more time, look at the ocean and listen to the surf.

Your tour through Argentina and Brazil is now easy to recall by its sounds: tango music in Buenos Aires, the crack of ice at Perito Moreno, bird calls over the Beagle Channel, the roar of Iguazu. And before your eyes, Christ's open arms above Rio. So many different places, and each had its own pleasure: hot empanadas, cool spray on your face, the view of the bay from the cable car cabin.

Еще Рио - хотя там было пасмурно и может быть это чуть смазало краски, но это Рио же!

Патагония зимой прозрачный и от белого до синего лед, чистый безумно понравилось!
Не зашла Амазонка - наигранные гиды, нет животных. Видимо, нужно ехать глубже уже.
Не зашел Сан-Паулу.

Buenas noches Viera. Antes que me comiense la semana de trabajo quisiera agradecerle por un tremendo tour que tume por Pero. Su paquete de tours fue muy personalisado para mis expectativas. Cada dia de la itinerario se cumplio como decrito. No tengo palabras para agradecer a todos los quías y taxístas que se me han asignado. Todos hicieron un buen trabajo y siempre a la hora indicada. Para una persona viajando solo eso trae tranquilidad. Los lugares que he visidado eran todos muy impresionantes. Con Cusco y los tours correspondientes los mas destacados. Me quede muy impresionado de la cultura Inca y la visita al Machu Picchu era una experiencia espiritual elevadora. El viaje de Arequipa a Nasca de 10 horas por bus era agotador. Llegue dormido a Nasca y me tuvieron que departar. Comprendo que para poder ver a el condor y también volar sobra el desierto de Nasca este viaje fue la mejor opción.
Los hoteles fueron perfectos. Mi favorita fue lq Britania Crystal Miraflores. Yo le daría 4.5 *. Yo recomendaria este tour a qualquiera que quira hacer el tour como yo lo hice. Espero que con las conecciones aerias directas proramadas entre Curacao i Lima ( comensando el fin de año) y con el nuevo aeropuerto international en Cusco en algunos años el turismo desde Curacao sea mas grande.

Good afternoon, we were in Rio de Janeiro March 15–17, 2020. Not for long, but it was very full of experiences.
The driver who met us at the airport, to our joy, spoke English and even a little Russian. He pointed out where we could walk and eat.
The next day we met Eleonora, a GUIDE and a Person with a capital P. We were lucky to visit Corcovado and see Brazil’s main symbol. Unfortunately, we couldn’t make it to Sugarloaf Mountain due to the coronavirus quarantine.
Instead of the canceled excursion, Eleonora gave us an impromptu city tour. She tells stories in an interesting way, knows a lot, but doesn’t overwhelm with facts, shows where the best photo spots are, and even took pictures herself. Thanks to her, we managed to get coffee and souvenirs—it turned out not so easy to find what we wanted.
She was very caring and concerned for us—even after we went to Búzios, she kept checking how we were, suggesting where to go and what to see and buy.
