Day 5: Easter Island - Ahu Akivi
Breakfast at the hotel. Group tour with an English-speaking guide. Visit the restored platform of Ahu Akivi, built in the center of the island, featuring seven Moai statues. Then visit Puna Pau, a green and picturesque site with notable red tuff extracted from the slopes of the extinct volcano Puna Pau. This stone was specifically used for making the topknots of the giant statues. Continue to the ceremonial complex of Tahai, an archaeological site on Rapa Nui. The Tahai complex includes three main Moai platforms from north to south: Ko Te Riku – with restored eyes, Tahai, and Vai Ure.
