Carnival, Waterfalls & Beach – Three Pillars of Brazilian Joy

Top hightlites

This 12 day Brazil Carnival tour is built so the experiences shift in the most vivid way: a city nestled between mountains and sea, kilometer-wide waterfalls, and a velvet coastline. Transfers are planned, the rhythm is balanced - there is movement and there are pauses to absorb what you have seen. Russian-speaking guides are with you throughout, helping you understand the place and its context without overloading you with facts. All the key elements of the 12 day Brazil Carnival itinerary are already organized. So you can focus on the experience, not the logistics - living every moment of the journey with pleasure. Rio de Janeiro, Iguazu Falls, and the coast of Angra dos Reis Brazil - one route, three completely different experiences. This is the Rio Carnival and Iguazu Falls tour with a beach ending: the Sambadrome parade tickets included, one of the world's natural wonders, and a quiet resort to finish.

Rio de Janeiro, Iguazu Falls, and the Angra dos Reis coast – one itinerary that brings together such diverse experiences. Brazil Carnival 2027 is a group tour with flights, where you will experience the Sambadrome, visit the natural wonder of Iguazu, and relax at an intimate coastal resort.
You will fully immerse yourself in the Brazilian Carnival in Rio – going to the Sambadrome at night for the samba school parade. The sound of drums, colorful costumes, the dancers' performances – a night that flies by like the wind over Rio's beaches.
You will see the city from two different heights. Corcovado and Sugarloaf Mountain – a chance to look at Rio from within, from the heart of the city, at the foot of Christ the Redeemer – and a view from the side, from the ocean, where you can clearly see Rio's magnificent beaches and bays.
You will walk through Rio's historic districts: colonial facades, monasteries, the Cathedral, and the Selarón Steps. A great opportunity to connect with its history.
Iguazu Falls – 275 cascades stretched over nearly three kilometers. Here you are captivated by the water element on an unforgettable scale, something you can admire for hours.
Angra dos Reis reveals another side of Brazil. Sheltered coves, calm waters without waves, places for surfing, diving, and fishing. Here the day moves slowly – and the longer it lasts, the more you want to savor the pleasure.
Around Angra dos Reis there are more than 300 islands, and you can visit many of them. You will discover pristine beaches, transparent coves with rich marine life, natural parks, and old forts.
If you wish, you can add optional excursions: a helicopter flight over Rio, a boat ride right up to the waterfalls, a visit to the Bird Park. Undoubtedly, unforgettable experiences.

Your 12-Day Brazil Carnival & Beach Itinerary

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Rio de Janeiro – The Marvelous City
Arrival in Rio de Janeiro. Airport transfer and hotel check-in. Rest after the flight - the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro is just days away.
Rio makes an impression immediately through contrasts. Mountains and ocean are part of everyday life here. By day, the light is almost physical. By evening it softens and warms, the ocean darkens, and the lights along the shore and on the hillside favelas take over. The beach is an extension of the city: people treat it like a public square. Someone jogs, someone sits with a drink and watches the water. This is how your Rio Carnival tour begins - Rio teaches you to enjoy the everyday and notice the details.
Day 1: Arrival in Rio de Janeiro – The Marvelous City -0
Day 2: Sugarloaf Mountain, Colonial Center & Optional Helicopter Flight
After breakfast, the Sugarloaf Mountain cable car excursion. The road leads to Red Beach, where the rock rises almost from the water line. The cable car goes up - first to Urca Hill. The first stop changes the scale: you can see the bays, the city blocks, the road lines. The wind off the ocean is drier than below, and it is good to stop on the platform with a drink and look at Rio. Then another cable car takes you to the top of Sugarloaf. A strange feeling: you are outside the city, looking at it from the sea. The arc of Copacabana beach, stretched-out Ipanema beach, the Niteroi bridge, boats scattered across the beautiful Guanabara Bay, and the Christ the Redeemer statue in the distance.
Then a city tour through the main spots: colonial facades, old churches and monasteries. You may stop at the Rio Cathedral and take photos at the colorful Selaron Steps.

Dinner tip: Fogo de Chão restaurant with views of Sugarloaf - excellent Brazilian churrasco ($75/person).
Day 2: Sugarloaf Mountain, Colonial Center & Optional Helicopter Flight -1
Helicopter ride Rio de Janeiro* Optional
Helicopter ride Rio de Janeiro - from $150/person; recommended 9–10 min flight with a Christ flyover at $250/person (transfer included)
You lift off from the Sugarloaf pad and in seconds the city drops away. The beaches that seemed long fold into clear lines. The ocean becomes the main plane. You see Copacabana and Ipanema lined up along the shore, the Niteroi bridge crossing the bay, and the Botanical Garden as a dense green mass. Flying around the Christ statue, you see it from a rare angle - not from below, but at eye level.
Helicopter ride Rio de Janeiro* Optional -2
Day 3: The Main Event – Champions' Parade at the Sambadrome!
Free time during the day to rest and prepare. Then the main event of your Rio Carnival week package.
The Sambadrome is a long parade arena in Rio, built specifically for Carnival. The samba schools pass through it while the stands on both sides score the performances. When is the Champions Parade Rio? 13 February 2027. Rio Carnival 2027 tickets for the best seats sell out months in advance - yours are already included in the tour.
Inside, the space is stretched along one line and all attention goes forward. The samba schools come out one after the other: the sound of the drums does not scatter, it moves with the columns. And the costumes - a continuous kaleidoscope of colors, shapes, sequins, and feathers. Over the course of the night, more than 10,000 participants pass through. This is the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro at its most extraordinary - the Rio Carnival experience that defines the whole trip.
Day 3: The Main Event – Champions' Parade at the Sambadrome! -3
Day 4: Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado & Sunset at Arpoador
Breakfast, then the Christ the Redeemer tour on Corcovado Mountain. An open eco-friendly train - the Corcovado train takes you through the dense forest to the top. The higher you go, the quieter it gets: only the creak of the rails, humid air, and the calls of animals. At the foot of the Christ the Redeemer statue, the chaos of the streets arranges itself into a clear picture: water and beach lines there, rock there, neighborhoods between them. The statue stands not as a dominant over the city but as an anchor point through which the enormous Rio becomes one space you can actually take in.
At sunset, we recommend Arpoador - the rocky headland between Copacabana and Ipanema to watch the sun go down over the ocean, turning the water red and gold.
Evening recommendation: Marius seafood restaurant on Copacabana ($130/person).
Day 4: Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado & Sunset at Arpoador -4
Day 5: Flight to Foz do Iguacu – Welcome to the Falls
After breakfast, transfer to the airport and flight to Foz do Iguaçu. Transfer to your hotel.

Iguazu Falls after Carnival feels like a breath of cool air after the hot samba. Even in the hotel parking lot the air smells of moisture and leaves. Capuchin monkeys - noisy and bold - jump along the railings. Iguazu is not one waterfall but a system of 275 cascades stretched over almost 3 kilometers. The water falls from a basalt plateau formed millions of years ago by volcanic activity. People come here not just for beauty, but to stand and look at the cascades for a long time - and suddenly feel, with the endless movement of the water, that everything unnecessary moves into the background. Rio Carnival and Iguazu Falls tour: the difference between 'seeing' and 'experiencing.'
Day 5: Flight to Foz do Iguacu – Welcome to the Falls -5
Day 6: Brazilian Side of Iguazu Falls
After breakfast, you head to the Iguazu Brazilian side along the canyon edge, on the border between Brazil and Argentina. The trail runs along the canyon and the falls first announce themselves with a deep, growing roar. Then the panorama opens: from here you can see the whole line of cascades. The Iguazu Falls both sides experience starts here - the Brazilian side gives you the complete picture at once: not individual waterfalls, but the whole system.
The paths take you closer to the cascades, the air grows cooler, and the finest moisture settles on your skin. The roar fills the space and all other sounds lose meaning. At the end: Devil's Throat Iguazu) - the most powerful stream, dropping in a solid wall. Rainbows appear in the spray.
Day 6: Brazilian Side of Iguazu Falls -6
Optional Bird Park*
Day trip to Iguazu Bird Park ($65/person) - a walk through large aviaries where birds move freely in their natural environment. Toucans with yellow-orange beaks sit still. Scarlet macaws fly across the path with short wingbeats. Flamingos stand at the water's edge. The distance disappears - the birds are living their lives, and you simply find yourself right beside them.
Optional Bird Park* -7
Optional Macuco Safari*
Macuco Safari ($135/person) - a jeep ride through the jungle under a dense forest canopy, then a transfer to a boat. You approach the streams up close - rushing water, green hills, and dense tropical forest all around. Breathtaking.

Helicopter tour Iguazu Falls* ($170/person) - the flight above the falls changes your angle of perception completely. The whole line of cascades is readable from above. You see how the water cuts through the plateau, how the streams merge into one powerful river, and how the border between Brazil and Argentina becomes just a line.
Optional Macuco Safari* -8
Day 7: Argentine Side of Iguazu Falls & the Devil's Throat
Early morning departure for the Iguazu Argentine side. An eco-friendly train takes you through the jungle to the three walking routes:

- Lower Circuit (1,700 m, 1h 45min, medium): you descend to the walkways and look at the cascades from below. The Saltos Alvár Nuñez, Elenita, Lanusse, and Bosetti - streams falling from basalt ledges.

- Upper Circuit (1,300 m, about 1 hour, easy): the water comes to the edge and crashes down right beside you. The walkways vibrate. The Adam and Eve cascades are the ones to see here.

- Devil's Throat Iguazu (1,000 m, 1.5 hours, medium): the climax. The largest stream drops 82 meters into a narrow canyon. No bottom visible - only water vapor, rainbows, and the trembling of the ground under your feet.

After the excursion, transfer back to the hotel.
Day 7: Argentine Side of Iguazu Falls & the Devil's Throat -9
Day 8: Flight to Rio & Transfer to Angra dos Reis – The "Royal Cove"
After breakfast, transfer to Iguazu airport and flight to Rio de Janeiro. On arrival in Rio, transfer to Angra dos Reis Brazil - one of Brazil's most famous all-inclusive beach resort Brazil destinations on the Green Coast. Hotel check-in.
Angra dos Reis beach resort is said to have exactly 365 islands - one for every day of the year. The largest, Ilha Grande, was closed to visitors for almost a century, and that isolation preserved its nature almost untouched. It is now a nature reserve. The Portuguese named this place the "Royal Bay" when they first landed - and people who come for a Brazil beach vacation after Carnival consistently leave with warm memories. Time moves differently here: boats drift slowly between islands, the water is almost waveless, the climate mild. The water shifts from dark green to clear blue at the shore.
Day 8: Flight to Rio & Transfer to Angra dos Reis – The
Days 9-11: Beach Relaxation on the Tropical Coast
Three days at Angra dos Reis beach resort on an all-inclusive basis. Coffee on the terrace, breakfast with papaya and mango, lunch under the palms - everything is ready for you.
After Rio and Iguazu, the quiet is especially vivid: no drums, no dense city crowd, no bright lights of the Sambadrome. This is where the impressions from the Champions Parade Rio and the waterfalls settle. The Carnival and beach vacation Brazil rhythm comes to its natural end.
You can take a schooner out into the bay and see the famous "boot islands" - a pair of rocks shaped like boots. Or head to Ilha Grande tour) - Ilha Grande, where there are no cars and trails lead to beautiful white beaches like Lopes Mendes. Ilha Grande boat tour from Angra is also available, and Angra dos Reis island hopping gives you access to dozens of private bays with rich underwater life.
Days 9-11: Beach Relaxation on the Tropical Coast -11
Day 12: Return to Rio de Janeiro & Departure Home
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Rio de Janeiro airport for your international flight home.
The drive to the airport passes through familiar hills. The city already looks different - known from the inside and from above, having shown many of its beautiful faces: beaches and dance arenas, mountains and viewpoints, streets and squares. This Rio Carnival with Russian guide and beach package arranges itself into a sequence of states: the passionate, magnificent Carnival; Rio breathing the sea; the untamed cascades of Iguazu; and the quiet bays of Angra. At some point your way of looking at the world changes - instead of trying to cover everything, you become ready to stop and go deep into what is already there.
Day 12: Return to Rio de Janeiro & Departure Home -12

Buenas noches Viera.

Pavel, good afternoon!
My name is Marina Ryzhuk. A few weeks ago, our VIP group from St. Petersburg visited Rio with you. I believe you remember them well.
I’d like to thank you for your excellent work with our rather demanding guests. After the trip, they spoke very highly of your services. Our particularly important gentlemen especially appreciated your personal approach — you managed to find a special way to connect with them.
Through your tours, they were able to truly feel the city, which is absolutely priceless on such trips.
Thank you!

They said everything was as precise as with the Germans :)
REVIEW №11- Mikhail and Elena Leksikov
Good afternoon, we were in Rio de Janeiro March 15–17, 2020. Not for long, but it was very full of experiences.
The driver who met us at the airport, to our joy, spoke English and even a little Russian. He pointed out where we could walk and eat.
The next day we met Eleonora, a GUIDE and a Person with a capital P. We were lucky to visit Corcovado and see Brazil’s main symbol. Unfortunately, we couldn’t make it to Sugarloaf Mountain due to the coronavirus quarantine.
Instead of the canceled excursion, Eleonora gave us an impromptu city tour. She tells stories in an interesting way, knows a lot, but doesn’t overwhelm with facts, shows where the best photo spots are, and even took pictures herself. Thanks to her, we managed to get coffee and souvenirs—it turned out not so easy to find what we wanted.
She was very caring and concerned for us—even after we went to Búzios, she kept checking how we were, suggesting where to go and what to see and buy.

A very close-knit, friendly team, always ready to help.
REVIEW №12- Nikita, Saga Tour Operator
Good afternoon, Alexandra!
Thank you very much for the organization and support.
The tourist was very happy and said everything was top-notch :)
Paraty is definitely a place to recommend—it leaves no one indifferent. Porto Real is probably in the best spot on that coast.

Thank you!
Wishing you success in everything!

Alexandra!
Our clients have returned, very satisfied.
They left a special review about the guide in Quito:
In Quito, we had a wonderful guide named David.
During our three-day visit to Quito, your guide David was with us. He made our stay in Quito rich, interesting, and unforgettable. Not only does he know a lot about the city, the country, and its nature, he is also a truly interesting person himself. Our three days were filled with conversations about everything. Our knowledge of Ecuador is now practically encyclopedic—we learned so much. And the most important part was that it all happened through engaging discussions.
We’d like to highlight his punctuality, his thoughtfulness, and his attention to detail. His advice on restaurants and places to walk during our free time was invaluable. We’ve met many guides—this is the 103rd country we’ve visited. We don’t always get so lucky with a guide, but David was exceptional. Thank you to him and to all of you!!!

THANK YOU FOR THE EXCELLENT ORGANIZATION.
REVIEW №15- Elena and Evgeny

We came back very happy – the hotels were good, transfers and assistance were of the highest level, everything precise and on time. Thank you!

Dear colleagues, good afternoon!
I want to thank you for handling our group – a large and challenging one, with a very intense program – which you managed to organize and host at the highest level. Tremendous work – thank you so much, ladies!
Months of preparation, countless changes and additions – I know what it all cost us – but everything turned out perfectly. Thank you for your attention and patience.

A poem dedicated to the Ada Tours guide!
In Rio, where sunlight meets golden skies,
Our guide Paulo greets us with kind, warm eyes.
He knows the whole city, where secrets lie deep,
And welcomes each guest with joy that’s sincere.
“Come on,” he says, “to Corcovado,
Christ calls you up to heaven’s shadow.
Then on to the beach, where waves beat the shore,
Copacabana invites us once more.”

Paulo will show us where samba resides,
Where Brazil’s true heartbeat endlessly thrives.
In favelas he sees not poverty, but life,
Where sparks of hope conquer struggle and strife.

With a smile, he leads us along every way,
Paulo’s our friend, our golden pathway.
A Brazilian guide, a master of wonder,
With him, Rio feels closer to heaven’s splendor.

This poem is from me, for you.

Good afternoon, Alexandra.
I want to thank you for organizing our vacation.
Our guides were simply outstanding – top class.
Pavel knows so much about Brazil and Rio in particular. He’s very easy to talk to, communicates effortlessly with people, is always learning something new, and gladly shares his knowledge. An excellent guide and a wonderful person.
And Tiago – we spent two days with him. He’s amazing. Even after 18 years of work, he hasn’t lost the ability to genuinely admire the beauty of the waterfalls. He still takes photos like it’s the first time.
With your guides, it’s never boring! Thank you once again!!!
REVIEW №34- Tatyana Yakubova
Hello, Alexandra.
I am sending you the full version of the tourists’ feedback:
We are publishing our review after our trip through Argentina–Uruguay–Brazil with my wife. It is always a pleasure to share emotions when they are entirely positive! We want to thank the entire Ada Tours team who helped us organize the perfect journey. From the very idea of the trip to its completion, you were always in touch with us, tailoring excursions and building the itinerary based on our requests, while also giving valuable advice and making all necessary adjustments. Everything exceeded our already high expectations – the trip was very rich and exciting! We recommend this route to everyone, especially when its organization can be entrusted to professionals☺️
We would especially like to thank you for selecting wonderful guides and drivers. At every stage, everything went like clockwork – we never missed a single thing, and the drivers were always extremely polite and pleasant.
Our journey began in Buenos Aires with a city tour. We visited the main square – Plaza de Mayo, cathedrals, and saw key architectural monuments from the Spanish colonial period, as well as the modern financial center. We explored the vibrant and colorful La Boca district and the main city ports. We were lucky with the weather, and the tour was fascinating. The guide advised us to visit several additional places, and we chose the Recoleta Cemetery, where many of Argentina’s most famous figures are buried. After the tour, we asked to be dropped off near the entrance and bought tickets. The only issue we faced was that we couldn’t pay in cash, but other visitors kindly helped us with the payment. The cemetery left a strong impression on us – we would definitely recommend it as a must-visit.
In the evening, we went to a tango show that exceeded all expectations. We watched authentic Argentine tango performed to live music, enjoyed Argentine wine, and saw other artists showcasing traditional instruments. The show was incredible and allowed us to truly experience the local culture.
The next morning we traveled by ferry to Montevideo. The journey was very comfortable; we would only recommend bringing snacks and an extra layer of clothing, as despite the heat, the ferry was air-conditioned and quite cool inside. We loved the city itself – we managed to see all the main sights and stroll along the coast. Midway through the tour, a wonderful lunch was arranged for us, followed by a light meal at the hotel.
After Montevideo, we continued as planned to Patagonia, where we spent just under three days. This place amazed us – it’s like nowhere else on Earth. From our hotel, we could see the vast Lake Argentino with its turquoise waters (sometimes flamingos can be seen there, though unfortunately we didn’t). The scenery of the Patagonian steppe and mountains will remain in our hearts for a long time. We took an excursion to the Perito Moreno Glacier – a unique wonder, truly beyond words. Probably the most powerful impression of the whole trip came from this glacier and the national park. It’s something everyone should witness with their own eyes.
After our mini-journey in Patagonia, we went on to Iguassu Falls, viewing them from both the Argentine and Brazilian sides. The sight was utterly unique and magical! Jungle, soaring eagles, butterflies, monkeys, and an endless chain of waterfalls stretching beyond sight. The park’s trails are very well maintained, with rest areas to escape the heat and humidity, and facilities everywhere.
The final stop of our trip was Brazil’s tourist capital – Rio de Janeiro. We visited the Christ the Redeemer statue, with its breathtaking views of the city, then spent time on Copacabana Beach, enjoying the Atlantic Ocean.
Overall, our journey was amazing and very full! And most importantly – as comfortable as possible, considering how vast the geography of our route was. Thank you!
Once again, thank you!

Sincerely,
General Director
