Day 1. Easter Island: Orongo
Meeting at the airport, transfer to the selected hotel.
Departure for an excursion to the Orongo ritual center. The day begins with an ascent along the slopes of Rano Khao Volcano to reach the observation deck at the edge of the crater, inside which there is a beautiful lake with characteristic vegetation. Then the Ceremonial Village of Orongo is visited - the place where the selection of the leader of the island was made for a whole year through a risky competition. All the clans of the island gathered in numerous stone "houses" in the spring, awaiting the arrival of the sacred bird Manutara to select Tangat Manu, the bird-man. Duration -4 hours.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2. Easter Island: Anakena
Breakfast in the hotel.
Full day island tour.
A trip to the south coast of the island where we will see examples of unrepaired platforms: Achus Vaihu in the Hanga Tee bay and Akhanga, where the famous King Hotu Matua is supposedly buried. Next, we head towards Rano Rarak, where most of the Moai were carved (900 stone statues, 397 of which still lie or stand on the slopes of an extinct volcano) and where there are still more of these statues to this day. Boxing lunch in nature.
Then visit Ahu Tongariki (15 Moa restored) - the largest platform on the island. Then a trip to the east and a visit to Ahu Te Pito Kura and the "Navel of the World" (the most energetic place on the island)
We then drive to Anakena Beach, with its warm turquoise water, white sand, palm trees and the Ahu Nau Nau platform, creating one of the island's most attractive landscapes. Time for walking and swimming. Return to Hanga Roa village along the road passing through the center of the island. Duration - whole day, box lunch included.
Return to the hotel.
Day 3. Easter Island: Ahu Akivi
Breakfast in the hotel.
Drive to the restored Ahu Akivi platform, built in the middle of the island, to see the 7 statues of Moa. Legend has it that these statues represent 7 explorers who were sent to Rapa Nui by King Hotu Matua. We will see the unrecovered Ahu Hange Pukure. Then visit Puna Pau, a green and quite picturesque place. Particularly noteworthy is the red tuff, extracted from the gentle slope of the extinct Puna Pau volcano. It was the rock of the stone mined here that was used to make hats for the stone giants.
And then we will visit the Tahai Ceremonial Complex, which is an archaeological site in Rapa Nui. The Tahai complex includes three main Moai pedestals from north to south: Ko Te Riku - with restored eyes, Tahai and Wai Yur. The Ceremonial Center at Tahai is now an integral part of Rapa Nui National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Duration -4 hours.
