Day 1.

Arrival at Belize International Airport. Private transfer by minibus to the Cayo District (without guide). Night at Black Rock Lodge in a Classic Cabana (1 Queen & 1 Double Bed or 1 King Bed). The Cayo District Located in the western part of the country and bordering the El Peten department of Guatemala, the Cayo District is an extensive highland strip of tropical forests, ranches, and some of the most remote and rugged areas of the country. It's a region where you're not heading for the beaches (there are none), but rather for Mayan ruins, extensive cave systems, and the opportunity to explore the surroundings on foot, horseback, or by kayak, raft, or canoe. The capital city of the country, Belmopan, is located here, but the real center of the district is San Ignacio, a small town with streets from the colonial era and numerous restaurants and shops. Some of the must-visit attractions in Cayo include the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve, Barton Creek Cave, and the ancient Mayan city of Caracol. Black Rock Lodge: Free Activities ✔ River tubing ✔ Self-guided mountain biking ✔ Swimming in the Macal River ✔ Hiking on trails Black Rock Lodge Cayo District, Belize Category: Simple/Mid-range This lodge is located in a stunning remote location on the banks of the Macal River in the Maya Mountains of the Cayo District. The lodge features 13 cabins of different categories, a restaurant, and a bar. Guests can enjoy hiking, biking, horseback riding, and river tubing on the hotel grounds and in the surrounding area. Black Rock Lodge is ideal for couples, families, and small groups looking for a cabin in a remote and picturesque location. Amenities: 13 cabins (without air conditioning), restaurant, bar, on-site excursions Location: Remote location, 40 minutes' drive from the Guatemala border, 40 minutes' drive from San Ignacio, 5 hours' drive from Belize City

Day 2.

Breakfast (07:00 - 09:30) at Black Rock Lodge. Actun Tunichil Muknal Tour (full-day group tour with guide by minibus). Night at Black Rock Lodge - Classic Cabana (1 Queen & 1 Dbl Bed or 1 King Bed). Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) Cave Tour (full-day group tour with guide by minibus) Actun Tunichil Muknal, also known as the "Cave of the Crystal Sepulchre," is one of the most impressive caves in the Maya lowlands. Located in the heart of the Belizean tropical forests, this cave was a sacred place for the pre-Spanish Maya of Belize, who first began using the entrance in the early Classic period (300-600 AD). The cave system consists of a series of chambers, culminating in a cathedral-sized chamber measuring 300 by 50 meters, where sacrificial ceremonies were once held. Visitors to this cave have the opportunity to journey into the Maya past and witness a living museum where human sacrifices and artifacts can be seen in their original state. During the tour, tourists will hike for 45 minutes through the dense jungles of the Tapir Mountain Nature Reserve, crossing three streams and encountering the flora and fauna of the jungle. At the cave entrance, guests are equipped with necessary gear. Swimming, as well as some climbing and spelunking, will be required. Guests will spend 3 hours in the cave, after which they can also visit a nearby dry cave to see ancient inscriptions and handprints whose origins are unknown. This is a first-class spelunking and archaeological experience. Due to the limited number of accredited guides for the Actun Tunichil Muknal cave in Belize, this tour may be conducted in groups, especially during the high season from November to April. Transfer to and from the cave is private. The activity includes: private transfers, guided group tour, entrance ticket, flashlights and helmets, picnic lunch.

Day 3.

Breakfast (07:00 - 09:30) at Black Rock Lodge. Tour to Caracol and Rio Frio Cave & Pools (private full-day tour with a guide on a microbus). Overnight at Black Rock Lodge - Classic Cabana (1 Queen & 1 Dbl Bed or 1 King Bed).Ночь в Black Rock Lodge - Classic Cabana (1 Queen & 1 Dbl Bed or 1 King Bed). Caracol and Rio Frio Cave & Pools Tour (private full-day tour with guide in a microbus) Guests are greeted at the hotel and taken to the subtropical forest area in the Maya village of San Antonio. Here, we have the opportunity to see the culture of the Mestizos, which is a blend of Maya and Spanish cultures. San Antonio is a famous village because it was home to Dr. Elhio Pantí, one of the last shamans in Belize. From here, we continue to the Mountain Pine Ridge Reserve, which is a protected national park covering an area of 106,000 acres. In the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, many Belizeans worked as loggers in this area, and on our tour, we will see evidence of this history. Unfortunately, this forest also suffered from southern pine beetles in 1999, and as a result, some areas are devastated, but it is interesting to see and learn about forest restoration programs. After the Pine Ridge Mountains, we begin to see the mountain changing from pine forest to tropical rainforest, and we enter the Chiquibul Forest Reserve. Approximately an hour's drive from the Pine Ridge Mountains, we arrive at the beautiful Maya site of Caracol (translated as "snail"), named by archaeologists because they found many snails here. The original name was "Oxwitza," which means heavenly place. Caracol is the largest archaeological site in Belize, covering 30 square miles of dense jungle with steep terrain and including five plazas, an astronomical observatory, and over 35,000 buildings. The tallest structure among them is the massive Caana pyramid, topped with three temples and rising over 140 feet above the jungle. A private guided tour will be very interesting. You will also have a picnic lunch. If desired, on the way back, you can stop and explore the Rio pools and Rio Frio caves. Return to the hotel. The activity includes: Private transfers & guide, picnic lunch, entrance tickets.

Day 4.

Breakfast (07:00 - 09:30) at Black Rock Lodge. Barton Creek Tour (private half-day tour with guide in a microbus). Night at Black Rock Lodge - Classic Cabana (1 Queen & 1 Dbl Bed or 1 King Bed). Free time in the second half of the day in the Cayo district (without a guide). Barton Creek Tour (private half-day tour with guide in a microbus). Transfer from the hotel through the Cayo region via the Mennonite community to Barton Creek. The Barton Creek Cave tour is an adventure journey perfect for couples and families. Equipped with canoes and powerful flashlights, guests calmly float along the river into the cave system known as Xibalba (shee-bal-ba), the Maya underworld. Stalactites hang high above you as you glide past impressive crystalline calcite formations. Knowledgeable guides will explain the significance of the cave to the ancient Maya people and the archaeological importance of this 7.5-kilometer limestone cave system, which was used by the ancient Maya for ceremonial purposes and as a burial site. After the tour, return transfer to the hotel. The activity includes: private transfer & guide, entrance tickets, canoe & equipment. Not included: Lunch

Day 5.

Breakfast (07:00 - 09:30) at Black Rock Lodge. Horseback Riding with Lunch (private full-day tour with guide on minibus). Night at Black Rock Lodge - Classic Cabana (1 Queen & 1 Dbl Bed or 1 King Bed) Horseback Riding + Lunch (private full-day tour with guide on minibus) Transfer from the hotel to mountain horseback riding trails, where you will spend the whole day riding. Choose one of these options: Trip to the waterfalls.: This full-day trip will take you to the Big Rock Waterfalls. Over the next couple of hours, enjoy a leisurely picnic and swimming. Take pleasure in a journey through brightly rich tropical forests. Some parts of the trail are better suited for walking, while others are perfect for a brisk gallop through the forest. Return via a different route. Trip to the river cave: You will travel to an underground river cave, passing through open farmlands and observing primitive farming methods of the indigenous peoples, learning much about their culture. You will venture into a beautiful river valley, lost in time, shimmering with huge mangrove and citrus trees, where you will dare to paddle for about a mile in small canoes into the cave to admire its exquisite beauty. You will be provided with a spotlight, but you can also bring your own flashlights. Pakbitun: Near the Mountain Horse Trails are the ruins of the ancient city center of Pakbitun. Once, the area of the Mountain Horse Trails was part of this city, which also extended to the village of San Antonio, approximately 5 miles away. After the picnic, we will visit the underground ceremonial Mayan cave adorned with ceramics and explore it. Trip to Mountain Pine Ridge Cave: Today you will embark on a journey to one of the impressive caves found in this limestone karst region, where you can see fragments of ancient Mayan pottery and even some undamaged vessels. Initially, you will explore various chambers filled with magnificent limestone formations, and then journey through diverse habitats and ecosystems, while your guide shares insights into the many medicinal plants of the tropical forests and their traditional uses. Included in the activity: Private transfer & guide, entrance tickets, horseback riding, lunch

Day 6.

Breakfast (07:00 - 09:30) at Black Rock Lodge Private transfer to the water taxi station in Belize City (without guide) Group boat transfer to San Pedro (without guide) Service from Mata Rocks Resort: taxi transfer from San Pedro airport (without guide) Second half of the day - free time in San Pedro (without guide) Night at Mata Rocks Resort, room with a terrace by the pool overlooking the ocean (1 queen-size bed or twin beds) San Pedro (Ambergris Caye) The largest of Belize's islands, Ambergris Caye, lies parallel to the magnificent Belize Barrier Reef. Once the homeland of the ancient Maya (they created the island by cutting a channel between Belize and Mexico), Ambergris is located 56 kilometers northeast of Belize City and is accessible by both boat and plane. It's a popular destination for diving, snorkeling, sailing, fishing, kayaking, and windsurfing; day trips to nearby Caye Caulker and the mainland are also easily arranged. Formerly a fishing village, San Pedro is the only town on the island; its sandy streets are lined with waterfront restaurants, hotels, tiki bars, and dive shops. Visitors to Ambergris may notice that, in an effort to protect the natural environment, Belizean law prohibits the removal of shoreline seaweed. Authorities make efforts to clear seaweed that washes ashore. And it's not uncommon to find a little sea greenery next to your cold bottle of Belikin. Mata Rocks Resort San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye, Belize Category : Standard Mata Rocks is a very charming small hotel located in San Pedro Town. The owners/managers are on-site and provide excellent personalized service to guests. There is a pool and beach bar on the small beach. Guests can choose from several room categories. Amenities: restaurant, bar, pool Location: San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye, 10 minutes drive from the airport.

Day 7.

Continental breakfast at Mata Rocks Resort. Free day in San Pedro (Ambergris Caye) (unguided). Overnight at Mata Rocks Resort in a poolside terrace room with ocean view (1 queen-size bed or twin beds).

Day 8.

Continental breakfast at Mata Rocks Resort. Tour to Hol Chan & Shark Ray Alley (group half-day boat tour). Free time in San Pedro (Ambergris Caye) (unguided). Night at Mata Rocks Resort in a room with a terrace by the pool overlooking the ocean (1 Queen-size bed or 2 double beds). Tour Hol Chan & Shark Ray Alley (group half-day boat tour) Hol Chan means "Little Channel" in the Maya language, and it is a natural break in the barrier reef where the ocean depth varies from 3 to 30 feet. Here, tourists will enjoy the breathtaking view of marine life and a vast coral garden where elkhorn and fan corals thrive. Hol Chan is a must-see on Ambergris Caye. The Hole is a circular limestone sinkhole with a depth of up to 400 feet. Here, you can experience a magical dive into the ultramarine waters, where you'll encounter various sharks, hammerhead fish, and coral reef fish. In Hol Chan, at depths of just up to 100 feet, more than 150 species of exotic fish and 40 varieties of coral are concentrated, as well as sea turtles and sharks. Within the Hol Chan Marine Reserve, there is a beautiful secluded spot with warm air and crystal-clear water, perfect for diving and snorkeling like no other. If you don't mind being in the water with sharks and rays, that is. This popular diving spot is known as Shark Ray Alley, a favorite haunt of nurse sharks and small stingrays. Divers and snorkelers jump into the fish-filled water to swim alongside them, while dive masters hold the fish in place, feeding them. The sharks, about a meter and a half in size, are not particularly interested in eating tourists, but they are still sharks, so diving in this area is probably best suited for those who are not afraid of such animals. Included in the activity: Equipment for snorkeling, transfer, and guide. Not included: lunch, parking fee of $10 USD per person (paid on-site), gratuities.

Day 9.

Dear Anna, Alexandra, Iona and the rest of the team at Ada Tours
Feed-back from a happy, satisfied customer!
A very big thank you for your very efficient services, Hospitality and most importantly your patience throughout the tour of my client. Dr. Chrysantha Mendis is very happy with the entire Tour. You did a fantastic job by organizing a detailed tour package covering 7 countries, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Chile, Peru, Argentina, and Brazil. Dr. Mendis has enjoyed all the countries though he could not do a few tours in Peru which is understandable due to political unrest. We will recommend Ada Tours to all our clients in Sri Lanka and will start promoting your tours in our website.
Best wishes and kind regards,
Shamali
REVIEW №4- Carol
Hi Anna, thank you for the update on the glasses. I’ll wait and see what happens! Alan and I are now back in the UK. We loved our trip to the Pantanal and Bonito. Our guide, Alessandra was brilliant with lots of knowledge and very considerate and helpful. The only hitch we had was on our flight back to Rio because the second leg of the trip was cancelled and we were rescheduled to a later plane and our luggage was mislaid. Fortunately it arrived in Rio a day later, before we flew home. Thank you for arranging the trip.
Best wishes Carol

Hello Anna and Natalia,
Thank you for all your help with our trip! I know our group was difficult, and I appreciate your patience with us. We loved the tours, the horseback ride, and the absolutely beautiful lunch at the vineyard. Our guides and drivers were fantastic, especially Luis. And the hotels were perfectly located. It was such a convenience to be centrally located in both Lisbon and Madeira.
I hope you enjoy a wonderful holiday and I look forward to working with you in the new year!
